  Everything. From the greeting at the door to reception to our bags beingplaced in the best room I have stayed in the uk. The service wasfabulous and the hotel was fantastic - will be returning - I travel an awful lot and I must say the Scotsman is one of the best hotels I have ever been in.   Seriously, you could not get a better location, it really is in the heart of the royal mile and only 5 mins walk from the railway station. Considering there were 5 girls sharing one bathroom & all getting ready to get out there was never any steam in the ba - The two brothers who own the apartment were so helpful and accommodating. They provided information about where to eat, what to see. From the moment we arrived they made us feel very welcomed. We arrived early before check-in so they moved our apt. Up the line to be prepped. They also stored our bags so we could enjoy the afternoon. The apartment is extremely comfortable (good beds and linen!) and directly overlooks all the bustle and excitement of Edinburgh's Royal Mile. The location could not

Very easy to find from the train station. Elevator available (although it's soo slow). Free WiFi was very smooth (although only in the common area). Helpful staff, suggested me alternatives of transport and calling a cab for me. Comfy bed, love the comforter. Surprisingly the room is quite sound-proof from the noise from the street. Nice bathroom with handheld shower! Free map provided.
