the staff was very nice and helpful. the location right in the middle of the old town and across from the train station is ideal. continental breakfast included in the price of the room. comfortable beds with shared bathroom in the room (I stayed in a 10-bed dorm). despite my room looking out on the train station and the street, no noise filtered in at night. the food served at the pub downstairs was very good and fairly cheap thanks to the hostel residents' discount.
所有评语 » Location! Very easy to find from the train station. Elevator available (although it's soo slow). Free WiFi was very smooth (although only in the common area). Helpful staff, suggested me alternatives of transport and calling a cab for me. Comfy bed, love the comforter. Surprisingly the room is quite sound-proof from the noise from the street. Nice bathroom with handheld shower! Free map provided. Location! It is in central Edinburgh and when I could only stay in this magnificent city for nights, I couldn't have asked for a better location. It's in between Prince's street and the Royal Mile. The breakfast was ok. Everything was clean. The value for this hostel is incredible! If you don't want to spend much, yet see the city, I recommend this hostel. The location couldn't be more ideal- across the street from the airport bus and train station, and within walking distance of High Street restaurants/bars, the National Gallery and the castle. Urban trekkers can even access the Royal Botanical Gardens and Scottish Modern. Really good location! Right in front of the station and in the heart of the city. Also, really rock'n'roll, a part of the hostel is a pub, they have pictures of bands like nirvana, red hot chili peppers, kiss on the walls & a really good chill out room to hang out. Great location. Clean enough in rooms and toilets. position and the staff are excellent. there is a leaflet to introduce the things you need do in the city as a guideline. breakfast tastes good also. Adjoint with bar so reception level is very noisy. Also, very small lobby (if none at all). But these last 2 points won't bother you if you don't spend much time there. The 10-person mixed dorm felt very cramped, and the locker underneath my bed creaked when I opened it and I couldn't help but feel bad for the people I may have woken up. Instant coffee instead of brewed. Not very clean. At breafast the plates avaible still had food on them, the shower in my room had some problems and it was very annoying to take a shower there. Also, lot of noise from the pub on friday/Saturday. Luggage storage is for money and quite expensive 1,5 GBP for 6hrs for small suitcase, 2 pounds for 12hrs, for large it is 50 p more. facilities is quite old and danger. elevator, electric plug and microwave are not in good condition. Everything was perfect!. The toilet in the dormitory room that I stayed in was down for the whole duration (3 days) of my stay. The showers need a good clean and the breakfast finished quite early. Couldn't always get a towel. Notification: If you book a couch in a big room be prepared to noisy roommates especially in the early morning :) Didn't face with big disadvantages.. The lift is not that good, but worth of money. upon my check-in, they told me that they were overbooked and had to put me into a larger shared room. The same situation happens to other staying in the same room. I am also not quite satisfied that they only have free-wifi in the first floor. So you won't be able to use your any device on any other floor (they have 5 floors). wi-fi is available only on the 1st floor. There was no kitchen in the hostel, and the hangout room was dim and too small. The bathroom seemed dirty with no handsoap. Having to share my dormitory with others. wifi only gives browser access; not full internet acess. So I could not download email. One of the toilets on the fourth floor was not flushing properly. I felt a little cramped; I did not realize that there was a place to hang out on the first floor until I checked out. 1) can't receive wifi signal in room (Iphone 5) 2) little bit noisy at night as too close to some bars, and has one bar in the ground floor. nothing. no carpet. the breakfast is too simple. toilet cleanliness. There was only wi fi on level 1. The shower wasn't that good. none. Some other guests were jerks. But this aint the hostel's fault, though. None. The bedroom is Very small.. if you want confort this is not the hotel for you because this is really A HOstel..Wifi only In the reception and 1st floor... Overall cleanliness of the room for the price payed. Ten people share one bathroom. my bed is near the window to the street, so it is noisy at night. breakfast is poor. showers being one temperature, not everyone likes a boiling hot shower,cant turn down temp. Facilities were not so quite pleasing and the bath rooms did not have lights also. Very hard beds to sleep. Very run down Stuffy and smelly There's a bar with live rock music playing under the bedroom windows until late in the evening Deposit for a towel too high. crowded, noisy, shared toilets and bathrooms not too clean, very tight in rooms, to expensive for what u get. The food from the bar attached to the inn was one of the worst meals I've ever had. The drinks discount was only for 3 obscure drinks which could only be used once. This was not a draw card at all. Breakfast was toast, choice of 2 cereals, tea/coffee (not continental). The bar is noisy. Other people taking my bed and leaving me with a top bunk!. There wasnt hot water in the washbasin. No heater working. the facilities are not good. Dirty.
