The Elder York Guest House is a lovely place to stay in Edinburgh! The location is excellent, walking distance to all attractions. There are road works going on, but these won't interrupt your stay and should be over soon. Breakfast was delicious and the breakfast room itself is very charming.

The room was well stocked with complimentary bottles of water every
day. A lovely china tea service with a selection of teas and shortbread
cookies as well as chocolates were in the room every day. The soaps and
shampoo were ample and well stocked. The bed, couch and chairs were
very comfortable and the room was large and had beautiful big windows.
It is also situated in a lovely quiet area with access to private
gardens nearby.

The welcome was warm, the room was clean and had all the attributes of a 4* hotel, plus some. A warm comfortable bed and the room was very quiet, I probably had the best sleep for weeks.
