  My husband and I stayed at the South Place Hotel for a week's vacation. The hotel is in the heart of the business district, so it is a quieter neighborhood on the weekends, but bustling during the week. There are a number of nearby pubs, and a Marks & Spencer across the street if you require groceries.   We needed a comfortable hotel near Aldgate and HAC, as we were meeting friends in Aldgate and going to a dinner at HAC. This hotel looks and feels brand new but has actually been open for years. Great location for business in London; easy for tube to anywhere (from Barbican, five minutes walk away).   the apartment was lovely, clean and modern with every comfort. The heating was so good we had to turn it down. It is only 2 minuites walk to the tube station and very central to all attractions. The staff were excellent even thought we arrived late at night. The apartment was spacious and had 2 lovely bathrooms. Would recommend to anyone.

Requests were dealt with immediately and we even got a tour of the hotel as we were interested in the history and architecture. The location is ideal. The stay was short but couldn't have kased for a better one. - Staff were good and attentive, good value if you are staying for a weekend as the City is shut, absolutely nothing open within a square mile! so be prepared to get a taxi into the lively parts of London, we paid a tenner each way into Covent Garden so based on the weekend saving it was worth it, have stayed in better 5* hotels than this but ok.
