Excellent room with everything that a business traveler would need. Huge bed and luxury bedding and pillows. Polite staff and attentive to needs. Great location for business in London; easy for tube to anywhere (from Barbican, five minutes walk away). Last minute rate made it very reasonable cost for the undoubted quality. . I had a wonderful three day break at the Montcalm. The location suited my plans and public transport was easily accessible for wandering into the city centre. Very comfortable and modern rooms. Older building repurposed so some quirkiness (corridors) but it just adds to the fun of the outing for me.
所有评语 » Very pleasant stay. Could not find fault with anything. You get what you pay for, and in this case you really do. Comfort, style, staff, decor, modern rooms, comfortable beds and pillows, sparkling modern bathrooms, nice breakfast, free internet high speed, club lounge. I liked the personal touch, porters opening doors and having your luggage carried to your room, reception were extremely helpful and friendly and the room was fantastic, especially the personal touches, complimentary fruit, sweets etc. Excellent attitude of staff to customer needs..They helped me right away with anything I needed..I also enjoyed the modern design of rooms and bathrooms. Complimentary fruit plate and excellent tea and coffee facilities in the room. It is a really comfortable hotel, very close to Liverpool Station. If you fly from Stansted Airport it is a very good choice. 5 stars at good price. Wi-fi all over and a Pub and Restaurant open til 12 at the basement. Very good!. My family really enjoyed staying in this hotel. Everything was perfect. The staff are very friendly and helpful. My daughter often asks me to go back this hotel next time. It is one of the best hotels I have ever been to. The staff were so welcoming on our arrival and we were given a upgrade to a suite which was amazing. Cannot fault the room or service at all. Both of us agreed it was the nicest hotel we have been too. Staff are excellent, and love the little details in the room: electrical outlets for European ans North American plugs, outlets to charge usb devices, etc. This was our second time, and we'll be back!. Staff were helpful and the rooms were modern and clean. The location is pretty good. Between the two Metro stops (Barbican and St. Paul) and 10 minutes walk to either it is very centrally located. Very thoughtful! There are fresh fruits, cookies and water in the room, and complimentary. The concierge is very polite and helpful, provide with easy walking map for where you wanted to visit. Staff were all extremely helpful and polite. The hotel was lovely and really helped to make out first anniversary special. The room was amazing. We would certainly recommend to our friends. Fabulous hotel, couldn't fault anything!. Breakfast is rather pricey. The room (407) was very little and the windows were old, in a brand new hotel. Nothing. The trip from the reception to the room was down a rabbit hole with 2 lifts and several stair cases giving it a dingy feel. Not good for a 5 star hotel. The two little windows from my room looked out to the side of a bilding 50 meters away. Small rooms. The spa and sauna room is not in the same building. You need to cross the street and tell the reception half an hour before you go. They will only start to turn on the steam. Our club room was weeny and dark. Being a conversion meant it was like a rabbit warren, lots of steps. Breakfast was very average. Think you can find better value. The intrusive nature of orgaanised functions in the "Back Yard". it's a little difficult to find, off the beaten track. Room on the small side, more designed for one person than a couple. Bed and pillows a bit too hard. Both days we were given a Daily Mail, which we only asked for on Saturday, both without the supplements, hardly right when we were still going to be charged the full price. Expensive on the days we stayed compared to regular rates. Maybe a busy time in London? Food at the hotel restaurants were mediocre. Was expecting more due to reviews we read. We had to send back one of our orders at the Chiswell Dining Room. They were very professional about it and quickly made amends, Our dinner the next night at the Jugged Hare was not much better - though nothing wrong with it - just mediocre. Maybe we expected too much? The service is excellent though!. Slightly noisy from outside traffic. No big deal. Our room faced out onto Chiswell Street which was noisy at night with people coming and going from the pubs. the connection between the east and the west wing was a slight pain. very small lobby. Staff overly friendly at times Limited gym Double bed - would have expected at least a queen size. The in-room safe was broken on arrival. It was fixed right away but I had to go to a meeting and leave it to maintenance. All ok in the end, The bidet fixture in the bath had been removed?. rooms tend to be on the small side. Someone should have avoided giving us rooms 022 and 023, knowing they were directly over a private, evening party held in the hotel. When we returned at night,the music was thudding both in the corridor and inside our rooms. We were moved, which was an inconvenient end to the evening and we probably won't choose this hotel again. Ever thou got a good discounted rate, would say over priced hotel. Houskeeper came into bedroom whilst I was in bed?. Nothing. Room was very warm Took a while to work out how to fill the bath!. Room a bit small. Difficult to navigate. No IPod dock or DVD player in room Wardrobe a bit small (and has ironing board in it). Someone should have known better than to put us in rooms 022 and 023, directly over the thumping music of a private party in the hotel restaurant below. We complained and were moved, but probably won't go back now. Can be a little noisy outside. Although we were informed that the club room served light refreshments all day and continental breakfast till 11, I was disappointed on Sunday morning at 11:10 when we went for a coffee to find that there was not so much as a croissant available. not having a bath in the bathroom :(. Hotel didnt have onsite parking but there was plenty nearby. Our room (view on the street) had single-glazed window, it was noisy at night. Breakfast was not well organised due to number of guests.
