  The service was second to none. The staff were very cheerful and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The atmosphere was relaxed and very restful. - very friendly and cosy. great food. perfect place for a romantic weekend.we have been in the hotel twice and we cant wait to go back.

  Everything. We go to The Lakes often, but had not stayed in Keswick. The location, staff, room (very spacious) and facilities were very good indeed. We really look forward to returning soon to The Skiddaw Hotel. - Central location, high standard of accommodation, friendly staff.

It was more like staying in a hotel with the freedom of self catering, although you could dine in the hotel across the road if you wished.   The room was great, lovely and clean and a good size. The location was excellent and within easy reach of both the town and the countryside (which is beautiful, and there are some lovely walks and near by towns to visit). The staff were friendly and helpful. I arranged the weekend for my partner's 40th and asked George wheth - The rooms were very comfortable and cool, even though the weather was very hot (there is no air conditioning, but the room still remained nice and cool). The bar was very lively and a great place for a drink etc, and the noise all stopped by 11pm, which was ideal. The breakfasts, although only served between 9 and 9.30am were excellent.
