  Good clean accomodation in a spacious room, good shower pressure, comfy bed. We stayed for the one night as a place to get some sleep as we travelled down south, room had all we needed for the night. Plenty of parking available.   Our daughter (20 months) would not settle and the staff kindly heated a bottle of milk (after midnight) and gave me a separate room to go with her so my husband could sleep before driving in the morning. They really were so accommodating and went beyond what most other hotels would ever do.   We were attending the Hamilton Races and required a reasonably prices hotel for 1 night. The Clydesdale Hotel is 15mins walk from the Racecourse and I would recommend it for racegoers and would stay there again.   as we didnt arrive till later on on the saturday nite we liked that we didnt have to check out till 12 pm instead of 11 am.   This is the second time in a month that myself and girlfriend have spent the weekend at the Alona.
