Great location and convenient for pubs cafes, shops and sight seeing. Our room situated at the back was quiet and we had a good night's sleep. Very helpful and cheerful receptionists. The fire-alarm went off on one occasion, firemen turned up and declared it as a false alarm, at least we felt safe. We will book again in the near future. The Ibis is well placed just off the Royal Mile in Edinburgh, so it is ideal to visit the main attractions in the city. There are many restaurants nearby, with a good choice of cuisine. The breakfast in the Ibis is wide ranging and good value.
所有评语 » The staff are very friendly and helpful. One of them called three restaurants to help us get a table for dinner. The location is perfect. It's close to everywhere. The room is clean and quiet; our room is facing a small alley. 1. Fantastic location in the middle of the Royal Mile 2. Friendly and knowledgeable staff 3. Clean rooms 4. Kettle with mugs and tea/coffee in each room much needed when walking outdoors in the cold! Ideal for a city break. Very friendly staff.Beds and pillows the best I have had in a hotel.Nice bathroom with a good shower.Excellent location for everything you would like to see and do in Edinburgh.I will definitely stay in this hotel again. The staff were always friendly & helpful the location is exellent only a few minutes walk from Edinburgh castle & all the other attractions, main shopping centre only 15 minute walk away, room was spotless. Your location to the hop-on hop-off bus was good as was our walking the royal mile, Your staff should be commended for their commitment to customer service and dedication to helping the patrons. It's an Ibis hotel like all the other Ibis hotels. Price not unreasonable for a city. Location was super. Ideal base for exploring the city. Very clean, warm and inviting. Should have choice of buffet or continental breakfast to help keep the price down. The bar was a bit expensive therefore mostly empty. Workmen doing renovation work which we were not notified about in advance. Any noise was kept to a minimal and luckily didn't disrupt our 3-night stay. Nothing. Will come back again. Little to criticise for the price you pay: mainly no free wi-fi, and the odd use of shower gel instead of handsoap at the sink. Overall, would still strongly recommend the hotel. That you have to pay for Internet.In this day and age when everybody use computers /phones for communication they should have free wifi.I went for breakfast around the corner at Starbucks just because they have free wifi. Parking to load and unload bags was difficult and stressful for mature (old folks) like us and the walk from your parking lot was a workout,as it is uphill and difficult to get a taxi that will go such a short distance. It might be worthwhile to arrange some form of shuttle,like maybe a staff member to pick up and return patrons to the parking lot. Rooms not huge but adequate for couple nights stay. Car parking is not nearby and costs 10 GBP / 24 hrs; Use of automatic odor sprayers in hallways. The same menu for breakfast everyday. Suggest the egg menu be changed from time to time.l. Bed was not very comfortable. Nothing. N/A. Extra charges for tv in rooms; what's up with that, for Pete's sake. Local telephone calls were £3 a minute. That's just crazy. Parking is a 10 minute walk away. Nothing. Room was on front of hotel and it was very noisy until 5.00am!!. No free wifi, very thin tbathtowels and no toiletries apart from soap. Nothing at all! Although when I asked for a refund for missing our first night due to train cancellations, they couldn't oblige - would have been nice if they could!. Parking is a problem , but its natural being so central . However close-by parking in multi stories are rather expensive . We stayed a Friday night and shared the hotel with lots of week end revellers, they all returned in the middle of the night and made a lot of noise in the corredors. Nothing. Quite expensive for what you get, but still cheaper than most options in central Edinburgh. Leaving at the end of my stay!!!. The toilet has a bit smell and the price per night is not a good value for me. The window was warped so that it didn't quite seal, so we could hear noise from Cowgate until about 2am every night. The "bed topper" was cheap foam and the sheets came loose as soon as you laid down - fitted sheets would perhaps work better? Overall, though, would recommend for the location and price. No safe in room or extra bedding (apart from spare pillow) in room. Some additional towels would have been nice. No safe box in the room. Extreme saving for the global enviroment. The hotel asks you to use only one towel for the whole week. Extremely expensive. Some staff members not quite as helpful as others. Room was sometimes uncomfortably hot and we were unable to adjust the room temperature. Our room was blazing hot. The windows had plexi over them and the air cooler did nothing. No loo brush!! One towel is not enough per person (+ they're very thin, so get soggy quickly). Most importantly you don't want to use the same towel on your face that you've used on other parts of your anatomy! Why not supply a small face towel?. Wi-fi not free of charge, the heating could be more effective especially in bathrooms where there is no heater. No bath. Lack of parking but NCP car park was close enough and discount was useful. It's a chain hotel - OK but anonymous. That the fire alarm sounded 2 mornings in a row, we were evauated both mornings and we given no explanation as to what was going on!.
