The service from the female host was perfect! The host was really happy every so it brought us really good mood! The breakfast was good and rich! Tasty as well! The room was clean! The garden view from window was brilliant. The place is great as well. It is near Carlton hill, 15min walking distance to royal mile and u can climb the Carlton hill every day coz it is really closed! Really good experience in this hotel! Strongly recommend!.
所有评语 » Paul and Deborah were excellent hosts - very friendly and informative. The room was clean and comfortable, and housekeeping was excellent. Room including breakfast was a real bonus. The hotel is in a quiet area but still only a short walk to city centre. I have already recommended staying at Abbey Hotel to my work colleagues. Was a great location for restaurants, shopping and bars. Only a 10-15 minute walk to Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle. Lovely outlook for rooms front and back, and steps leading up to Calton Hill. Free street parking overnight and all weekend. Bedding was lovely, fresh and comfortable. Good value for money. Correct hotel in Edinburgh. At 10 minutes walking to the city center. Very close to Calton Hill. Quiet neighborhood. I booked a single room but they gave me a familiar room in the attic. Beautiful views from the window. Clean bathroom. The owners were friendly and helpful. Quite well based, not far at all from the center like 10/15 mins walking. The staff is really nice. We had a good weekend there. As our train was late in the evening, we could leave our luggages at the reception which is really nice from them. Perfect location for the centre of Edinburgh. Lovely comfy rooms in a beautiful building. Breakfast was very nice with a range of choices. Staff were attentive and polite. Excellent value for money as a last minute booking. The quirky room - fine for those who are vertically challenged; it was compact; no noise to disturb us meant a good rest. Breakfasts were of good standard. Five minutes from playhouse, shopping centre and close taxi ride to places such as the Scottish parliament. Great location - next to many restaurants and downtown sites and stores and also has park across the street. Cute B & B in a simple & elegant row house. Very quiet. Very good service. This was an adorable little hotel run by the most lovely couple! I HIGHLY recommend it for couples and friends alike - perfect location too. We were late for breakfast thinking it was on till 10 the host made sure we got something to eat which was very tasty , I would use this hotel again. The only thing I would change would be better lighting in the bathroom. Our 2 adult children had a nice light room overlooking the lovely little back garden and steps up tp Calton Hill. Our room, number 6, was very strange - open the door and walk up steps to room which had a very low ceiling. The room was very dark and claustrophobic and a bit stuffy. You only have wi-fi in the lobby, no in the upper rooms. The duvet cover may be need some renovation, because have stains. Problem of water's pressure in the bathroom - the shower didn't work for 15mins. The brekfast is served quite early from 7.30 to 9am but I guess it's the same everywhere in uk. Limited on street parking, however that isn't the hotel's fault, just general parking restrictions in and around Edinburgh!. Nothing comes to mind. Only bad thing is the shower in my room was very weak and took a while to get showered. Apart from that excellent place to stay! Would definitely go back. Prices in Edinburgh were higher than for corresponding accommodation in Glasgow (where I stayed one week earlier), but that might have been due to the festival which was happening then. Can't think. If you look for it, there's always something to nag about. No complaints here though. Nothing. The door on the room looked a bit shoddy, thankfully it wasn't, but it looked like a stiff breeze would have opened it, not particularly pleasing to look at. No complaints whatsoever. No lift: Had to carry 20-25 kgr suitcase until 2nd floor. Maybe a (+) for extra gymnastics? :). There is wifi but you won't necessarily get reception in your room (although you an always sit in the dining room). The room door didn't seem v secure and the pillows were rather flat!. up two flights of stairs for room but we knew before hand there was not a lift. would ask for a room on the first floor next time. The bathroom needs updating. The check out time is a little early- 10:30am. The bed could have been more comfortable and the water pressure in the shower could have been stronger. nothing all good. I think the hotel should sort of the wifi for guests in rooms higher up. I was in the furthest room from the reception and had to go down 3 flights of stairs to get service. No complaints what-so-ever. Very noisy extractor fan in rooms bathroom. Too many stairs on stripy carpet - good job we hadn't been drinking!!. (not a gripe at the hotel) lack of tourist information on transport services Nothing to tell us how to get around the city, this is my second visit to Edinburgh so I have some idea whats what. The 72 steps to our room was a challenge :). Expensive as every other place during Edinburgh marathon. One of our rooms was basement level, would have preferred higher up. There wasn't anything I didn't like apart from being on the top floor which was up eight lots of stairs, but then that was outwith anyone's control. Reception desk is not 24 hours.
