The concierge was very helpful in getting tickets and giving info aboutthe city. Perfect location. The traditional building; its history; its central location.everything especially the food. A lovely old world hotel situated slap bang in the middle of the University area, a stones throw from all the best shops, student area with a selection of pubs and restaurants on your doorstep.The hotels own restaurant "Nosey Parkers" served excellent food at reasonable prices.Breakfast the following day was included and was buffet style so no problems with quantity or quality.Friendly staff too.
所有评语 » very friendly and courtious staff even though they were very busy they were all , always pleasant and helpfull professional and efficient , great breakfast , comfortable bed , Dundee is a great place to visit steeped in history fabulous buildings great restraunts , friendly people and for me the Queens is the place to stay I love the style of the hotel . The restaurant was really good, if a little pricey and there was a good selection of food. The room was also really comfortable.the room was very comfortable and had been well refurbished. The cleanliness of the room, particularly the bathroom. The room was clean and cosy, with great views over the River Tay. The food in the restaurant was very good. Let us check in a little earlier than advertised time as our room was ready. Cheerful Personel, good food, Location. friendly staff. A pleasant room that had clearly been recently refurbished. Clean and comfortable. I used room service for dinner one of the evenings and it was quick.the room was very tastefully decorated and the hotel is easy to find. It is centrally located. This is reflected in the price which is cheaper than most competitors. It is ok as a place to sleep, and confirms the old adage: You get what you pay for!. No fuss and room was comfortable. nothing. Because of its central location street noise might be a problem for light sleepers at the rooms on the front of the hotel- but the advantage of central location far outweighs its any disadvantages inc secure parking at hotel rear.the breakfast--. When there are conferences in the Hotel forbid the smokers from stubbing thier cigarette butts out on the columns at the front door of the Hotel, provide a sand filled bucket at the back entrance to the carpark. On arrival the rooms were chilly. However found room very warm overnight. My room was on the front of the hotel and suffered from road noise and noise from people leaving the bars/restaurants opposite fairly late at night.We were unable to get an evening meal. Breakfast was a bit hectic and the staff not too helpful at the hot buffet section. quite a bit of noise from the street between 11pm and 1am.The room was cold during the day. Only one lift in operation for such a big hotel is not good enough.room was in basement-very noisy in evening. Yes, the bed was not very comfortable, but that was our only complaint.Room appeared not completely cleaned prior to occupation. Failures of electronic room key required several re-activations at reception desk during stay. The window lock was broken there was no double glazing therefore with people partying outside the hotel until 3am I didn't get much sleep. The road outside was closed for roadworks, diversion was not signed. Info ahead of time from hotel as to how to find!. Hotel was shabby and could do with arefurbishment. The first room we were allocated was cold and draughty! We had to complain about it and were given another room.The staff were very unresponsive when asked to rectify a problem. They were superficially nice, but took reminding to help. The toilet in my room smelled of smoke. it was obvious that it was used for this.I did not like the room, it stunk of smoke and was tiny with a slanting ceiling. Complained to reception they were not helpful at all.Said there was no other rooms they could try and find us another hotel but we would still have to pay for the room at the Queens! Cooked breakfast was cold and I would never go back again!.
