  I re-visited The Rothesay earlier this month for a stay lasting five nights. As on previous occasions I was welcomed by the owner and shown to my room which I found to be both warm and comfortable. All in all a very pleasant stay. - The host was welcoming with complimentary tea and cake (genoa?) and informative throughout our stay. The room, ( superior), was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good with cereals, juice, fruit and cooked breakfast prepared to order, piping hot. An indoor heated swimming pool was available. The Rothesay is well placed for shopping, eating out, Highcliffe Castle and the beach.Overall very good value for money.

Recommend. - Had a wedding to attend in christchurch, so just looked for a reasonable priced place to stay. We were very impressed, it is the old Hurn Railway station and breakfast was served in the pullman carriage, it was lovely. Very clean comfortable pub, with lovely beer garden and very good food, wished we could have stayed longer.

  The welcome at reception unlike some four star hotels I have stayed in! This is nice to find when you are a mature lady travelling on your own to be made to feel welcome from the start.
