This hotel is a real find and I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Bristol. The location is excellent and the hotel has a real buzz. We particularly enjoy the bar area which is great for morning coffee, afternoon tea or a drink before dinner. Food is always a highlight of our stay. This is oneof my 2 favorite hotels in the uk. It's a great place to stay, small, friendly, wonderful food, nothing a hassle! You don't need lots of gimmicks, you just enjoy it for the solid place it is.
所有评语 » Superb room and bathroom. The feel and presentation of the whole hotel is lovely. Very helpful and professional staff. Ideal location. There is almost nothing in Bristol you can't walk to. The bed was very comfortable and the room was lovely. The setting of the hotel was lovely with a little courtyard area where you could have dinner and the breakfast was amazing. The room was great and so were the staff. The room service was excellent, in that they let us order of the main menu. Very impressed and happy to give it top marks!. Level of service and friendliness of staff superb without exception. Room excellent. Restaurant food excellent. Best hotel I have stayed in (beats the Mayfair). lovely surroudings and beautiful public areas to sit, with delighful food. Well appointed hotel with very interesting architecture and excellent atmosphere. staff friendly ,helpful and polite monsoon showers location ambiance coffee maker and provisions in room clean rooms and hotel areas. Excellent food and the rooms are great. I have stayed there before over the years. Location great, atmosphere great. The wallpapers you choose. The decor as a whole and the lovely big shower and proper bath with loads of hot water. Staff was very friendly and they suggested a few things to do as well. The room was very nice and cleaned. very friendly staff, good location, comfortable room, scenic hotel architecture, gbp99/day for 2 persons. The pure decadance if the room, especially the bathroom. High quality decor. Comfy areas to chill. The hotel is fabuluous and the food and the wines served in the restaurant are a delight!!. The bedroooms were great, lovely big bed and decor was gorgeous. Loved the bathroom too. The location was central and the hotel had some character. The room facilities were good. Located in centre of Bristol ideal for shopping. The huge shower and huge bed, food in restaurant was fantastic. The room,air conditioning, the bathroom, the coffee maker. The bed, the bath, the wine, the shower, the breakfast!. Bedrooms and shower. Staff were very attentive. Dinner for a party of 8 was very good with food/wine and service all excellent. Large rooms, comfortable, great menu and good wine list. Staff friendly but not fussy or stuffy. Comfortable bed. Very nice bathroom. Good breakfast. Always like the HDV buildings Staff always polite. Good sized room. Central location. Staff and bar. Parking is mainly off site but I have never had a problem in the car park across the road. However this might be more difficult if using a car regularly during your stay. You're kidding!. We thought the restaurant a little pricey. Having to pay extra for vegetables and having service automatically added to the bill is not ideal. It was such a warm night and I only picked this hotel due to having air con which didn't seem to cool the room down at all. The 42 in smart TV was unable to connect to the internet and also no digital channels so the reception was very poor. Nothing at all to highlight. The attention to detail and customer experience was second to none. The room was overlooking the entrance area and was noisy due to kitchen area and goods being delivered and people arriving and leaving at all hours, which kept me awake. Double glazing would help. bed not very comfortable more choice needed in Bistro for main meals It felt overcrowded in the Bistro when having evening meal. No one knew about website early booking in or other items offered. Rooms are getting a bit tired and need some refitting. they have not changed over the ten years I have been going there. For a small room, wooden corners of beds are not friendly, I have a lovely bruise. as seems to be the case with all hotel rooms these days, was quite dark. The food was extremely bad, probably precooked. It was noisy as I think cleaners and workers start too early, maybe 8.30. gbp 19.50 for english breakfast. Slow breakfast service. Very noisy with constant toing and froing of guests and endless sirens all night. There is no convenient parking. Restaurant service was very slow. Not enough hotel parking and drinks from the bar were very expensive. Loved it all, can't think of anything negative to say. Needs to have valet parking (to pay car park). Confusion over whether bill was paid at letsbookhotel.com level or at hotel. the parking was very expensive and the advice for parking was poor. Parking is difficult and needs some planning. A sat nav would be useful to find as a little hard to locate. location, beautiful building and courtyard but overlooking a dual carriageway (not that you can change that). Discovered (on arrival) that room booked had adjoining door with next room (had booked superior double) - a lot of noise coming from adjoining room. Was offered alternative room but no discount given for the fact that no longer superior double. Was upset to find thick layer of dust on top of mini bar. The safe (it was broken), my meal in the restaurant. Location not ideal but depends on where you want to be. Didn't get my Sat. morning paper The Racing Post. The small shelf around the bed. The room rate for a Friday and Saturday night was far to high. Hard bed surround. The food being over priced. My children ordered chateau briand but have to say we were very disappointed as this was served individually and not as it should as a whole. For sixty pounds we expected better. Car parking arrangements very poor. Bedroom lighting poor (somewhat dim) road noise was a little intrusive. The power was cut off because of work on-going in? The hotel. We were unable to shower and we were unable to have a cooked breakfast. We were disappointed that only a £12.50 staff charge (which the restaurant staff who served us dinner deserved), was removed from our bill. Lack of room numbers makes it difficult to locate rooms. Difficult to find stairs from 1st to ground floor. Lack of bright lighting available in rooms. Disappointing dinner- fillet steak so tough it was inedible. Location a bit out of the way but not a major criticism. Room very dark. Although lovely bathroom, no hand towel rail,no decent light to put on makeup. Tea making facilities in wardrobe( black) unable to see in & plug out of reach. Do designers ever test a room??. Parking and price.
