The location, and that I reserved a river view room on line and actually received one! The buffet breakfast was excellent. Very spacious room, extra large double bed which was extremely comfortable, and everything was spotlessly clean.Everything was great, Location, room, staff, would love to stay again, all I can say is a very classy hotel. very polite staff . very modern hotel loved the tv in the bathroom. food was good quality and inexpensive.

I have stayed at the Brigstow a few times now and is my first choice in Bristol as the car park is practically underneath the building, the decor is to my taste and it is right on the waterfront and as I live in the land locked Midlands I try and stay near water where possible.The design of the rooms, the quietness and privacy, the level of service in how the hotel had been designed to do that, also the service at breakfast and the appearance of various other rooms available for different functions. Good location, nice contemporary Design in rooms/facilities, friendly staff. Very convenient for places of interest in City centre. Central Location, Friendly Staff, Modern clean room. The rooms were very modern yet very comfortable. Overall , staff was most helpful and attentive. Great rooms and excellent restaurant food. room overlooking river. The bed and the room was nice. But the view of the bins out of thewindow when we were suposed to have a view of the river was notysatisfactory. Apart from the very central location, the staff of the hotel was very friendly and accommodating. Our room was also very good. Did find the price of £18.00 for six cans of coke from the mini bar rather excessive!. no car park. didn't stay there!!!!!!. no. Service at the bar was a little slow. Breakfast was 'fair'. On the night I stayed - street noise from late night revelers from the bars around the canal was somewhat annoying.Car parking. No, have stayed several times and always really like it.half an hour waiting time for a free breakfast table for most of the hotel guests, as they didn't have enough staff to clean the used tables - should not happen in a four star hotel!. It didnt have a pool but otherwise it was lovely. The view of the bins out of the window when we were suposed to have aview of the river was noty satisfactory. The room would have scored excellent for cleanliness only for the fact that there were a few stains on the carpet and furniture and there was dust to the rear of the TV where it had not been properly cleaned, overall minor problems.Whilst i accept that many city centre hotels use NCP, i felt some contribution towards the cost of parking would be appropriate. Room was a bit warm at night. Slight smell of stale smoke in the room. woken early by street cleaning. The cooked breakfast - beans, and bacon particularly - was extremely salty. The sausage was undercooked and bright pink in the middle. There was no decaffeinated tea on offer, and no water available at breakfast. Whilst in general the staff were pleasant and polite, the main lady at breakfast was frosty at best; not the bright and breezy wake-up you might expect!. I had to move rooms twice. The first room smelled of cigarette smoke - and not just a little, it had permeated the fabric of the curtains and furnishings. They moved me without any fuss. The second room had a faulty light sensor - the lights switch off automatically if no one moves within the room for a certain time.
