I really enjoyed my stay, our works xmas outing was really good too. Triple cream were pretty funny, all round a good night.
The food could have been hotter, but that's my only criticism.
They make you feel very welcome and nothings to much. Trouble

Friendly and helpful team of very competent staff who were attentive to our needs. Dealt with requests promptly and efficiently. Breakfasts were excellent and issues caused by power supply problems were handled well
Power cut meant unable to use the swimming pool so we're aiming to return again shortly after Christmass
An enjoyable place to stay
Nice and clean rooms of adequate size. Stansted Airport 15 min. away by car. Nice countryside,two pubs in walking distance. SPA worth a visit.
Staff extremely friendly and made you feel really welcome.
The only minor issue we had which was very small is that it looked like someone had stolen the tv remote so was unable to use the tele.
We stayed one night - made very welcome - had a lovely walk round the lovely village and then a great swim in the pool - there was only us in the pool - what a treat.Excellent situation to get into london - in fact we were in central London all parked up and ready to go by 8 am - having left the hotel at 6.45 - (thus cant comment on the breakfast!0
Pleasant comfortable and airy restaurant. High quality evening meal and breakfast. All staff smiley and helpful. Well positioned for visiting Essex and Suffolk country side which gets an undeserved bad press.
A very well run hotel and restaurant, the food was amazing and the staff were incredibly helpful. I would stay here again and recommend this hotel
The water pressure in the shower was not very powerful

Breakfast was cold and not very well cooked. (The bacon was overcooked and hard and teh sausages and baked beans were cold. The fried bread was soaked in fat ) A buffet breakfast would have been preferable using a Ban Marie.

Could not eat at the hotel on Saturday night due to a function.
Very friendly staff. There was a function on in the restaurant and bar on both of the two nights I stayed but I was made to feel very welcome in the small conservatory area.
Unfortunately, the noise from the extractor fans in the bathroom in neighbouring room was very loud and woke me up both nights even though I wear ear plugs!

Pillows on the bed had no guts.......shower was more of a dribble and we were unable to switch from shower to bath so it took a long time to fill.

Staff were extra friendly and helpful (not to mention beautiful, Jade)!! Food was really nice. Breakfast was lovely, not greasy at all. Bed was super comfy, had a great nights sleep. Pool was nice enough, and the steam room was nice to relax in.
The gym was a little small and not really well equipped, did manage to improvise a half decent workout though.

Brendan and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Made me very welcome. The facilities on site, swimming pool and gym and sauna are first class for the price of the booking.

Cleanliness in room, coffee spills down wall - furniture very tired. No glasses, remote. Staff at reception scruffy, reception and outside very scruffy - needs a real update for prices charged. Would not recommend. Manager nice in evening, only saving grace. Do not need to see bags of washing when you ar having breakfast. Really needs a shake up!! Bar needs more staff and updating , more room + reception, very old fashioned. Sorry did not like at all. Needs to come into the year 2000! or more.

Everything else! Dreadful room, 4' x 3' en suite, the whole hotel was filthy! Very noisey, food overcooked/burnt. Plates dirty (still had food on them x 4). Drinks expensive. Very dated and tatty decor. Health and safety hazard too. Will never stay here again!
