I had to visit Birmingham recently and booked Gables Nest at very short notice. The price was excellent, the room was spotless, the breakfast was top notch, easy access to the city and most of all, the welcome from the owner, Mal was so friendly. I would definitely use Gables Nest again and recommend it to friends. I can honestly say I look forward to my next visit. All we wanted was a bed and breakfast for one night we got that and more the lady who met us was very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful she accommodated both our motorbikes without an issue and served a beautiful breakfast Gables Nest comes with the highest of recommendations and is perfectly placed for the NEC.
所有评语 » Owner was warm and wondeful! Went above and beyond to assist us with any issue we had. Even thought we had to leave before the time she would have served breakfast, she still provided us with juice, fruit and yogurt in the morning! Would stay there again anytime. Wonderful Guest House owned by a very engaging and friendly proprietor. Marilyn made our stay very enjoyable. Room was decorated nicely, very clean and exceptionally comfortable. Would stay here again without question. The facilities, with a fantastic price-relation ratio, the owners, friendly and attentious, the situation, with great access by public transportations and the home cooked breakfast. It was an excellent choice of accomodation, it was spotlessly clean, very very friendly, and a great breakfast and we would definately recommend it. A very pleasant stay. Very friendly hostess, excellent location for NEC and city centre. Room clean and tidy. Nice breakfast. Kindly posted our phone charger that we left behind. Very warm welcome from Mal and John. The friendly staff, good food. Very clean and comfortable. bed was comfortable, breakfast was good. The dining room was ok, small lounge area with tv was ok too. We didn't get to stay longer!!!. Couldnt find fault with anything. The mattress on the bed was quite nobbly. nothing really. The English breakfast (the various parts of which were very tasty) was nevertheless served on a plate that had a lot of cooking oil covering everything. there is nothing to dislike about this place. Unfortunately the toilet flush didn't work however we were given the use of other toilet facilities right outside the room. Birmingham and the immediate area has changed so much since I lived there and not for the better. I thought that the guest house was further east towards the airport. The road was noisy and heavy with traffic. Noise from a busy road. surroundings soft bed for my back pain. only one double bed in family room so had to have 2 singles we live in different cities so having single beds was a problem. N/A. It's not a luxury B&B, the room and bathroom are simple but clean. Not an ideal location to spend a weekend but fair to spend a night have a good sleep. shower needs updating. Unfriendly greedy landlady, only interested in taking peoples money. The room was tiny, so was the bed, the noise from cars going past went on all through the night.
