We were there for a wedding and the staff were excellent and food was excellent and different from the standard - We had a fantastic stay, the food was service was 1st class, the room was 1st class, the staff were 1st class, it was more like staying on a cruise liner than a hotel,

We really enjoyed our evening meal, which is several cuts above 'pub grub'. The breakfast was especially good, with a wide range of choices, like the delicious Eggs Florentine I had. The service was very efficient and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The settin is a perfect example of an English village with a village green, & was very peaceful.

  it is a beautiful hotel that has fantastic staff and a really nice atmostphere. You felt as if you was at home. - The staff were exceptionally friendly and made it feel very welcoming and the breakfast was outstanding. Whether it was an extra slice of toast, a late night drink or calling us a cab, every request was met with a smile.

  It is as if time has stopped. Beautiful and of great historical value. I enjoyed every minute of my stay. Staff is very helpfull and they enjoy their job which is very important.
