Small cosy hotel in the heart of Sultanahmet. Double room was quite small and basic, but really enough for us. Perfect location: main sights of Istanbul are no more than in 500 m away. Tram stations nearby (Gulhane - downhill or Sultanahmet - uphill) allow to travel around the city easily. Very nice, polite and helpful staff. Delicious breakfast, which includes courses from Turkish cuisine. Free Wi-Fi.

They will help you with any information you need and tell you whats good to see and what areas of Istanbul to avoid.I Stayed in May and I returned on my way out of turkey because its a great location and the staff are friendly. For the price the rooms are clean and have everything you need including good internet access. Stayed for 5 nights in May. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We arrived at 6.30am and they allowed us straight into our room. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and really tasty with different things to try every day. Only a very short distance to all of the major historical sites. Will definitely stay here when I am next in Istanbul. First I have to say the staff was really friendly and helpful and we enjoying talking with him. I had 3 day best sleep these days in Merih, small but comfortable bed for me. BTW, the location is at the very nearest city center of Europe side, you can go to all main sites of interests on foot. One more thing, the breakfast is also nice!!!. The hotel staff, especially the night clerk, was very helpful and friendly. I got lots of good advice about what to do during my stay in Istanbul. The breakfast is very nice, and the breakfast area very comfortable. The location is excellent to see sights around the Sultanahmet area. Fantastic location - right in the middle of the major sights and friendly staff. Right on the tram line making it easy to get to the airport and other locations in the city. Good location for sight seeing. I greatly appreciated the breakfast prepared by the cook every morning we discover new delights, the hotel is quiet despite the street is noisy. The staff is polite and helpful. the location was so good close to the bazar and the topkapo and hagia sofia. No elevator. It might be hard for elderly people to climb spiral stairs. Bad soundproof. Although our room faced inner yard, we could hear trams, as if they were in our room. Poor construction of bathroom: shower with a hole in floor to allow water leave. No border around shower area resulted in flood in bathroom. If you get a room facing the street the trams can be a bit noisy but remember its in a great location near everything you need as a tourist. Nothing. Nothing. Very simple hotel, bathroom was a little uncomfortable. Major noise problems due to the digging up of the road directly outside. Not the hotel's fault, but took involvment of letsbookhotel.com to reach satisfactory resolution re room re-allocation/ cost. The shower head and the tap was problematic. We had a small problem with payment with credit card, I suggest travelers to pay with cash, easier. Small shower/bathroom. The bathroom could have been a little bigger. The shower head could have been less forceful. They did offer to change my room by it the new room was on the noisier side of the street so I stayed put. the tram was noisy. Couldn't get tv reception without taking the set off the wall and balancing it in one particular position. All the cable connections were loose and dodgy. Overhead shower head was blocked sand the only way I could get proper shower was to lie on the floor under the taps!!. The rooms are cramped with two bags that leaves you no room to move, so we did pay Euro. 300 instead of 210 under the reservation, we were informed that the said room is a double room for one person, we paid Euro 60 while the price is 57 euros per night, 5 nights. The sheets were never changed since our arrival. we asked for doublt single bed but they gave me and my husband 2 single beds, we clearly mentioned that in our reservation but they told us they are fully booked and we can arrange the beds our selfs !!! no fridge, no nothing !!! old blankets and old pillows, and they had 2 shampoo bottles from the world war 1 !!!! it smelled soooo bad and expired !!! you can choose another hotel with the money we have paid !!. The hotel took money for transport but they did not pick us and even not return the money. This is really bad. Picture of a hotel is not realistic. Hotel is worse and in a bad condition as on pictures.
