This is a large appartment on the 3rd floor split into various rooms. Larger rooms are mainly equipped with domitory beds while the smaller ones have double beds. The location is excellent, very close to all main sites and the t1 tram line. The rooms are clean. The brekfast is very good. Tea is for free and Mr. Ali (the owner) will make everything he can to make you feel comfortable at his place. PS: It was NOT difficult to find. Mr. Ali sent me a map prior to arrival. There is a large sign nex.
所有评语 » Fun, lively, friendly and welcoming staff. Very comfy beds, yummy breakfast, clean and good showers. Castle Hostel is very near to the Blue Mosque so you can just pop there after dinner to enjoy some salep and the buzz. We felt home and definitely stay there next time we go to Istanbul. Hostel-owner and reception staff are very friendly, always ready to help with advice, cared about customer like parents, speak different languages. Hostel-owner helped us finding god cafe or shop, speaking with people etc. Wi-fi is fast, tea is testy and strong. Staff is really friendly and welcoming! Also the rooms are clean and cozy. You will also get a nice breakfast which is included in price! I truly recommend this hostel to everyone. Next time when I go to Istanbul I will definitely go back there!. The staff are really nice (the family, mr Ali and especially his lovely wife), the location is very strategic. Maybe it helps more to put a bigger sign indicating the name of the hostel bcz it was hard to find though i walked in the same street. The hotel is at a very good location, in a very close walking distance to most of the tourist places in Istanbul. Also it is very clean and breakfast is good. My compliments to the owner who is very kind and always tries to satisfy the guests. Perfect location - close to Grand Bazaar, Blue Mosque and Sofya, yet quiet and not noisy at night. Very friendly staff, comfy beds. Condition and internet in order. Nice breakfast for that price. And hotel is clean. And he gave me good information. And hotel location is very close to main street. If I visit again to Istanbul, I again stay this hostel. if you don't have any problem with a shared bathroom, it is perfect for your vacation. It's in the center of the town near to all famous places of the city. Mr Ali (the owner) is a very good man. lokacion is perfect (2 mintus from Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque and 5 minuts from Grand bazar), staff so,so nice and helpfull, rooms are clean and comfortable, you will feel like at your home. Location is good. Have many travelers from all around the world that I met and travelled with another traveller. The bed is comfortable. Very valued when breakfast are included. The personnel was quit pleasant. The location was ideal and excellent. It was cheap and comparing quality and price it was a right choice. Finally the brakfast was sufficient. They guy was funny, talkative and attentive. He would invite us to tea or try whatever he was eating. A turkish friend for us. The hall=dinning room=place with computer was the place were we could meet the other folks in there. The small the place was, made it more familiar. I can drink tukish tee in real turkish style!!. The location. Nothing. It you have a light sleep, you may want to bring some ear-plugs. This is not necessarily related only to this hostel, but to Istanbul in general. I would recommend bigger sign in front of the hostel so it would be easier to find, and another bathroom doors ;) everything else is ok. * sometimes there are some confusions with the bookings, but the owner always finds ways to come up with the best solutions for customers. The owner of the place was really nice and friendly, but sometimes didn't respect the cultural differences, I guess, that makes you to not to get to close to someone who you recently have met (I think for an italian girl it would be ok hold hands or something, but not for a chinese or asian, as an example). Hotel owner is so kind and friendly but The staff sometimes is not friendly to travelers or only me .I dont know and hostel has 7 rooms but only has 2 toilet and bathroom. it would be nice to have a barrier between the bathroom and the dining room. The place is quite small and don't have a lot of space to seat straightly if you sleep on the lower bed. The owner is nice but if you are a female traveller don't like to have free massage need to consider this point. It was hard to find as there were not any obvious signs. It is located on the third flloor of a not so clean buillding which does not have any elevators. After our own good will we were given an 8-bed dorm, despite the fact we had booked a double-bed room. Overall a good hostel!. Not a complaint but it took a couple minutes to find. The map on this site (or on google maps - can't remember) puts you on the right street but it is about 70 meters off and on the wrong side of the street. Look at the hotel's main picture to find the corner building and then go to the entrance on the right side and buzz in on the right of the door. Also, there is no elevator and the third floor was a climb with heavy bags. -doors of bathroom -the banner of hostel should be bigger -there is no lift. The rooms are small. The cheapst room is a little to small. No signboard to know exactly where is it. I spent more than two hours just searching I ask many people about it , but no one of them know whrer it is. the air-condition didn't work at that time. two tables and those few seats are not enough for breakfast. located at level 3, use stAirs is troubled for those who have heavy bag. the signboard of Castle Hostel is too small, i had problems in finding the hostel even i was in the correct road. Doors on toilet and bathroom. 1) Not enough bathrooms for the number of rooms. 2) language problem to communicate with one of the owner. Sometimes noisy Breakfast isn't excellent (if you are a coffee and croissant person, you better eat somewhere else) Easy to miss since it is at 3rd floor in a building (with a very small sign) Sometimes there's a line for bath since there are only 2 baths for 7 rooms I wouldn't recommend it for family with children (small space). Small place, our room was next to the hall=dinnng place were everyone would sit and eat breakfast... so, i could be noise in the morning for late sleepers. Only two baths with showers for everyone. If everyone gets up at the same time... it could be messy. The lady was watching turkish stuff on the computer really loud a 9 AM. (computer was 50 cm close to our bedroom door). Poor bathrooms - it doesn´t respond to west European standard at all privacy - poor non possibility pay by card in spite of the comment in the Booking. com. There is no ac, it is in a third floor without elevator. We did not like the place and I don't recommend it. The neighbors are very noisy (we could not sleep for 2 nights from 00.00 to 06.00 am) even using ear plugs. There are only 2 bathrooms and one of them is very small. We had to queue for breakfast as the living is small as well. Humor sense of the owner is special... WI/FI poor. The hotel was on the third floor very hard to find. The rooms was small and congested. There are only two washrooms for the whole hostel. in fact its more an apartment rather than the hostel. I think The door in the bathroom should be change!. The staff!! Unpolite n rude!! Very bad experience during the stay!! Would never come back to that hotel again!! Would not recommend to anybody else. The false photo about the hotle Actually it is not hotle It is a just flat. In the third floor without lift but with difficult stairs like clomping Bad smells pentrate your nose when you open the outdid door of the building wher the flat (what named castle hotle ) Bad breakfast Dirty sheets of the bed.
