  Just got back and everything about this place is as good as earlier reviews say it is. I was tempted not to add comments so I could keep this gem to myself. The Hotel Illa d'Or has a magnificent setting, with wonderful views both of sea and mountains; and located in a quiet spot towards the end of the Pine Walk, which makes a lovely short promenade to the centre.   We paid £36 a night for a beautiful studio apartment. It could easily sleep four. Nice balcony. Absolutely amazing value for money. Our friends stayed around the corner at the Hotel Minamar and paid £130 for essentially the same room with a view of the ocean. We def. got the better deal. We had a pool view apt on the 1st floor, it was a lovely, bright, spacious apt. Kitchen was v well equipped and easy to cook meals in - a brand new electric kettle and toaster, also a microwave Staff were very helpful and friendly. The central location is wonderful , only a few minutes walk to the seafront and lots of very good restaurants and shops etc.
