  The Hostal Gat Raval was a fantastic place from which to explore Barcelona. The location and indeed the street Joaqim Costa are excellent. On leaving the Hostal there is a buzz about, cafes, bars and restaurants are easy to find and have an air of cool without being pretentious. The hostal is very clean and welcoming.   We stayed here for my husbands birthday the staff were very helpful and the rooms were clean the location was so good very close to railway from airport. We were not expecting this hostel to be so good.   We were grateful that we did not have to share the accomadation as the bedrooms are very close, but we felt comfortable and warm, the whole apartment was very clean and a lady came in every day to change towels ect (you must ask as you have to pay 1Euro per towel).
