  Albert and Tersia, ( the owners ), were fantastic in their ability to make you feel at ease and comfortable after a long journey.   Full disclosure: Wilderness has always been my favourite beach as a child. I have very fond childhood memories. I may therefore be a little subjective. The location is fantastic. It is virtually on the beach, with a sea view from everywhere in the room. The bathroom is large enough (according to European standards). Breakfast consisted of cold meats and - Fantastic location a few steps away from the beach and very friendly staff. Also very close to restaurants/bars in Wilderness. (The hosts voluntarily upgraded our room to their best room since it was vacant, but they showed us the room we would have had and it was also lovely.   Just spent one night in Mootide (Moondance room) and all my expectations were exceeded. This is a great place where you have a calm lagoon on one side, and a beautiful beach a stones throw away. The owner and staff are all very helpful too and gave us some great advice for our trip down the garden route. I just wish we had more time. - The staff were extremely efficient and friendly especially the Manager - Tim. There was a lovely choice of cooked and buffet breakfasts which could be eaten either in the dining room or out on the deck which overlooked the Touw River. The room we had was quite large and had a well designed bathroom and separate walk in wardrobe. I would recommend this Guest Lodge to all!

  From the moment that we parked the car we were greeted by the friendliest hospitality! Andre walked over the lush gardens inviting us to our room that awaited. We had a self catering unit which had a grand main room and lovely bathroom. The breakfast dining hall is light and breezy with a sea view. The breakfasts are - Right on the beach with great rooms and ocean views, lots of places to relax indoors and out and good breakfasts. The hosts could not be more welcoming and helpful. Initially, I stayed for 2 nights and came back after staying just two nights (orginal planned 4 nights) in Plettenberg bay. A truly wonderful and relaxing stay at the Dolphine Dunes.
