  The backpack was a really comfortable and welcoming place to stay. The common areas were laid back & relaxed and the place was very clean. Location was great & just a short walk from the top of Long Street and some good restaurants. Waterfront was a decent walk or a fairly quick taxi ride. Compared to some friends who were staying at numerous backpackers in and around Long Street, this sounded superior & I would definitel - It was my second time at this hostel and I came back three years later because I liked it. Apart from it being excellent for what is officially a backpackers place I really appreciate the attitude of owners and staff who are supporting community projects and take recycling seriously, something that is still not very wide spread in South Africa.   Everything. Location: In an elevated position over Bantry Bay with brilliant views. Room: The whole premise is very modern and extremely spacious. We were in room number 10 with partial sea view and our room had a sitting area with coffee/tea making facilities and fresh fruit and a large TV. The toilet is a separate - 52 De Wet is an amazing boutique hotel nested in a cul-de-sac uphill Bantry Bay. The room we stayed in was HUGE (Penthouse), with ample space, comfortble bed, two spacious walk-in closets, luxurious bathroom (bathtub with seaview was great). Giant balcony, beautiful design furniture, friendly and helpful staff/mngrs/owners (we even borrowed the front desk laptop for a few hours to make wire transfers for our next destination).
