  The staff are friendly and helpful, an approachable bunch of people one can easily make a conversation with. There was an incident where the air- conditioner broke down, the staff were on it straight-away including a guest at the hostel. That floored me. Excellent service. Even if all shower units are occupied, all s - I can say that Five Stones hostel is really a good place to stay. The location is excellent, it's near restaurants, bars and tourist attractions. Transportation is not a problem at all. The bus stop is right at the doorstep. The young staffs are friendly and very accommodating. The place itself is generally clean. I will definitely stay at the hostel the next time I pay a visit to Singapore. :) I enjoyed my stay.

  Loved the central location. It was a 10 min walk from the Bugis MRT and closer to bus stops. Plenty of restaurants down Arab Street and adjoining streets and hence one has a good choice of reasonably priced meals. Many curious shops down Arab Street and adjoining Haji Lane to sate one's appetite. The people down the street were extremely friendly, w - hi all. I really just can recommend the shophouse and would always come back there if I will be in Singapore again. It is central in a nice district with a lot of restaurants and cafes. It has on every level free wifi, a awesome terrace, two Mac pcs and two windows (free) and a lot of lovely details.   This is one of the best budget hotels one can find in Singapore (if not the best one in town). The rate includes breakfast, whole day free coffee-- latte, white and black coffee, cappuccino and chocolate drink, and drinking water. Great wi-fi access (and it's for free!). There's a good japanese restaurant b - its so homy, the staff never forgot how to smile. we stayed 2 days here, first day in double room with a shared bathroom, the room is clean the bathroom also clean. the 2nd day we stay the the triplet room and yey we get a private bathroom, its simple and super clean. i love the dining area, its soooooo nice, we usually go there before we go to sleep and enjoy the hot chocolate + snack (bring ur own snack =D )

I arrived earlier than planned and the owner very kindly allowed me to rest in the common area until a bed became available. maybe I was just lucky, but other patrons in dorm very considerate of others sleeping.   The Superb Hostel was in an ideal location for a walk to the Singapore Conference Centre, and the local underground station. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful - even to calling someone in to mend the public computer on my behalf. Showers were hot and there was a hanging space where clothes could be dried. This budget hostel was excellent value and the owners made everything very easy with maps showing the way from the nearest undergroun - I liked the location, 1 min walk from Arab St. Nearby amenities, restaurants, 7-eleven and ATM machine. The owner was incredibly friendly and they had the most coomprensive guides inside the Hostel. As soon as you walk in there is a wall full of useful information. Every place you want to visit is there! Complete with the route you need to take. Well done! The shower, Internet and shared bathroom where always cleaned. I will certantly recommend it.
