  There it was! The iconic Bryggen in full view from our hotel room window. The Scandic Strand could not have been better sited. Below us was the famous Fish Market and the Vagen Waterway, with only a short walk to the Floyen Mountain funicular.   It was a good hotel, close to the centre and that is wat I wanted when Iwas looking for a hotel. Too often nowadays the check-out time is 10am. Free biscuits and coffee/tea/hot chocolate from the vending machine in the lounge. The lounge/breakfast room were beautiful.
