I sincerely invite everyone who wishes to visit Amsterdam gives a hotelboat a try and not just this one. It is so much fun waking up in the morning with swans knocking on your window (ok, I'm exaggerating here but I did see a photo on the boat that it did happen before). The dock features multiple hotelboats. The staffs are warm and friendly.

Excellent stay. We chose this as it is something different and more fun than an ordinary hotel and it was fabulous. Centrally located (10 mins walk from Centraal) but quiet. Very friendly staff (father and daughter), they helped us with all our questions. Of course the rooms are a bit small (and so was the bathroom), but this was to be expected on a boat. We really loved that it was so well located, everything is reachable by foot.

The owners were exceptionally nice and welcoming. The location is great! Only a ten minute walk from Central Station. Lovely breakfast is complimentary, the common area is extremely comfortable and you can sit up on deck and gaze out at the cityscape! Highly recommend Hotelschip Gandalf!!!
