Our family room was very large with a double bed, a single bed and two very comfortable sofas;an additional bonus was that you could slide double doors across to separate into two individual bedrooms. Gijs was an excellent host. He helped us before arrival and during the stay. We loved the character of the house (we stayed in the loft room). It was very close to everything in Amsterdam. The location is very central, all rooms overlook the canal, the owner is
super nice and helpful, both the room and the bathroom are spacious and
have everything you may need there (I.E. hair dyer, bath robes, basic

anywhere by foot in less than 30 mins. Breakfast is massive and includes
freshly squeezed orange juice, eggs of choice, salmon, cheeses, fruit,

My host was very nice! The place was nice and comfortable. It's like a home away from home. It was quiet except for the church bells ringing nearby but given all the possible noise somewhere else, I'll take the church bells anytime! Also serves as an alarm clock for 8am. If the other occupants are rowdy the host will tell them to be quiet.

Rudy and Pia are wonderful hosts. I was only staying for one night en route to Africa, but they were very accommodating in every way. The Garden Room is spacious and comfortable. They thoughtfully provide breakfast in the room so that guests can have it at whatever time is best. Also, the location is excellent--very walkable to many if not most of Amsterdam's major places of interest. One note: the two flights of stairs are steep, so that may be something to consider.
