Best features are the tranquil garden, excellent restaurant, and lovely staff, but everything is great in this little gem just 3 minutes away from busy thamel. We stayed at a deluxe room though and it was very spacious and clean, but dont know what the other rooms are like.

in Thamel, near all the shops, walking distance from Durbar Square and
others if weather permits. The staff members were absolutely friendly

Kangshar Guest House is the place to sleep if you are coming to Kathmandu just for a few days or even for a longer period. We stayed here for 1week and a half and we felt like home. The location is really good, central but not in the middle of all the noise. You have power and internet (slow but it works). They have an amazing and really friendly staff willing to help you with everything. The terrace is great for a sunset beer. We enjoyed pretty much our stay here. Thanks!
