A truly memorable experie - The location, inside the Medina, is very good. The owner manager was an extremely nice man, very welcoming and accommodating. We trekked in the nearby RIF mountains and he walked us through the Medina to the foothills of the mountains to show us where to start our hike from. The terrace has great views over Chefchaouene.

  This lovely hotel is nestled right up against the mountains therefore has stunning views over the valley and of the beautiful village of Chefchouen.   Muhammed Ali is by far the friendliest and most helpful person we've met running a guesthouse. He gave us a free pick up and drop off, organized our bus tickets, surprised us with homemade yogurt on our first night, etc.etc.etc. He truly cares about great service and seems to be a genuinely good guy. Casa del Rio is beautiful on the inside, trust me, but his pictures don't - Casa del Rio and Chefchaouen was a peaceful respite in the midst of a rather harried trip. The Moroccan government should hire the owner to represent the country internationally - he was one of the most thoughtful, considerate people I have ever met traveling, and was by far the highlight of our Moroccan experience.   I really liked Elias and his staff. Everybody was so nice and incredibly helpful. Twice we got lost, first when we got there, and 2nd when we went to explore the old medina and got all turned around, and Elias came to our rescue both times.
