  Staff at the Sofitel Casablanca were friendly and helpful- nothing too much trouble. Their English was good, a boon for non French speakers. The cooperation of the staff and management at this hotel is truly second to - Rachid the owner and the receptionists were all very nice. They gave us directions and Rachid showed us to a good brunch spot, The Fence. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. I slept like a log. The guards save the parking spots out front for guests, so I was able to park my car for free and it felt safe since the car was within eyesight of the guards. I could see it would be a good place for business travellers, as there is a nice kitchenette and large desk.

  This is a basic hotel, with the facilities they mention. The hotel was within walking distance to the medina and the mosque, and we could leave our luggage at the hotel. It was quite ok for one night. If you plan to stay more you might find the room small, old and noisy.   I loved how accommodating the entire staff was. Their number one priority was to please the guest. At 2:00 in the morning when I could not get a WiFi connection the front desk did all they cold to make sure I was happy. They earn an A+ for that effort!   Sorry but don't understand the complains about the staff. Our receptionist managed 3 arrivels at the same time, stayed calm and had a private word for all of them. The ibis is nicely located to the main railway station and therefore the best option for our last stay since both airport hotels in Casa seemed to have bad reputation. Hotel very good for an Ibis....beats some in Australia. Had a room with a balcony and renovated bathroom. Nice garden to stroll in and all this right beside a railway station! Also tram to the city centre passes the door and it is modern and efficient. A shame it does not connect to Hassan Mosque.
