  The excellent welcome we had and the good meal in the poolside restaurant. The Manager was very hands-on and had initiated a programme of refurbishment. The pool was very nice and the views over the Straits from the front of the hotel were lovely. It appeared to be a popular hotel for business and families. The location is great, especially for a driver over the border into Singapore. The restaurant serves Italian-Japanese fusion which I had never experienced before but was really great.   The view requested was received for one of my rooms out of two which saw the whole city. The cleanliness was good overall in the rooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It also has a weigher so you can check your luggage(s) weight if you have a flight after that. Really great hotel since it's relatively cheap if you look to what you get. Overall, this hotel looks good and clean.
