Everyone was extremely friendly just as expected from true Japanese place. A person from the ryokan met us halfway from the station, showed the way and helped with the luggage, though we have not even told ryokan about the time we plan to arrive! I believe those guys patrol the area each time a train arrives just in case.

I have been to japan 47 times and I really loved staying at this hotel.
We had 4 nights at half board (meaning breakfast and dinner is included
in the price) The staff were really friendly and not afraid to engage
with us even though we had little Japanese and their English was mostly
job specific. Our room was Japanese tatami mats and really big. The beds
were put out at night while we had dinner. The food at breakfast and
dinner was totally awesome and very Japanese with sashimi and sukiyaki
