  My favourite stay throughout my 5 week trio. My only regret is that I did not stay here longer. This place was amazing. Location was outside the city walls but near enough to walk over in a quiet environment. I loved the luxurious touches from the quality bedlinen to the creamy soap. Even though it was end of season and difficult - We loved every minute of our stay. The house was calm, friendly, beautifully decorated and our hosts were very welcoming. The room was outstanding, with a fabulous big bed, enormous shower and great balcony overlooking the garden. The breakfast was tasty, lots of typical continental choices and little extras, served in the garden. The house is 5 minutes walk to Lucca's gates and couldn't have been more convenient for the station.The whole experience was brilliant, from our first welcoming email

  Laura and Fabio could not have been more helpful. I had to book Il Duomo for my mother who had a bad fall on the Tour prior to coming to Lucca. I needed a place with a lift and a walk in shower and it turned out to be the perfect choice. There was a step down from the shower, but it was spacious and non slip. We were given a choice of rooms and shown each on arrival. Rooms were spacious, comfortable and surprisingly quiet for a city. Linens, towels and toiletries were of good quality. Breakfast was continental buffet with the nice touch of fresh warm croissants and toast brought to table. This is a beautiful and well-run hotel that I would recommend.
