Warm, friendly and hospitable landlady. A friend and I just needed beds for the night after leaving the ferry and continuing to Skibbereen next day. The guest house was quiet so the proprietor let us have a bedroom each for no extra charge, and she gave us lovely home made bread, cheese and pickles, also refusing extra payment when we offered. Very clean everywhere, and comfortable beds, followed by brilliant breakfast. We decided to return on our way home after 2 weeks in Ireland.

The convenience for catching the early departure ferry to Fishguard. + There was a brilliant sunset the evening we stayed, and it created a fantastic view across the fields to the hills beyond from the verandah of room 9.
Extremely warm welcome and very comfortable room. Lovely bed linen. Great breakfast and local pub is a 2 minute walk away for supper. Convenient for the ferry.
I liked the friendly lady in charge very friendly meals good bed and other facilities excellent well done 5 stars.
Very friendly and accommodating staff as we were delayed and arrived very late and also very good about the dog.
It was near the harbour when we came over by ferry at night, Easy to find, staff very friendly.

With such a nice lady in charge, nothing to not like! If you're only paying a modest price, expectations should follow accordingly, and in this case our return shows that we were very appreciative.
I appreciate that space is an issue when converting a room for this particular use, but it was a bit of a bind having the bathroom sink, away from the shower & toilet, & located in the room, in an alcove at the foot of the bed, a privacy problem, I don`t know if all the rooms are similar, and as we were only there for one night we managed OK.
