I found Egans to be the best possible combination of a 'chain' hotel and a private guest house. It was comfortable - especially the communal lounge area - clean, and nicely decorated, with very helpful staff. My room had everything I needed and was very good value for my 30 euros. We rented a room for 5 people. It was a full size bed, and 3 twin beds crammed together in a very small room. We only stayed one night here, so being crammed together one night was no big deal. We had our own bathroom plus there was a public bathroom right outside of our door. The lady at the desk was very helpful and informative. She told us of our various options of getting into the city, which is a good distance away.

expectations. After booking a day tour, we realized our bags would need
to be left at the B&B after checkout. Martin offered to keep them

Every room had a parking space alotted to it... Was close to the cityonly cost €15 for taxi and they were continously passing the door. Theresidents bar was brilliant and alot cheaper than dublin prices!!! Andthere was no real closing time aslong as we didnt get too round. One ofthe most comfortable bed i've ever slept in! This guesthouse is an excellent value for the money! It's located in an upscale neighborhood, very close to local pubs and restaurants, and just minutes away from city center by bus - (as well as Dublin Airport - which I was very grateful for, as I had to make an early morning flight out.)

This adorable place was so nice, clean and comfortable. The owners were just a delight. Our room was wonderful and comfortable. Location was perfect just outside of town about a few miles and easy access to the bus system into town center. Breakfast was amazingly great and filling!! I would recommend to everyone to stay here if you want a quieter setting but still be very close to town center. Also they have a beautiful outside garden area and the flowers are just beautiful.
