We absolutely loved our stay at Gannons's B&B. So much so that we stayed an extra night - eight nights in total. Lovely big quiet room at the back of the top floor apartment. We had an en suite bathroom and shared the living room/kitchen area. Really useful having use of the kitchen to make picnics and store things in the fridge. 所有评语 » Loved the location, just beside many great restaurants and pubs so no need to drive & both could enjoy a drink in the evenings. Great location for driving to many parts of connamara with great mountain climbs and beach walks. Had a beautiful upstairs room with use of kitchen and sitting room with stove. Staff very friendly and helpful, a big thank you to Paula for the lovely breakfasts and all the advise ensuring we made the most of our stay in this beautiful part of Ireland. Gerry was extremely helpful and kind, attentive to all of our questions and needs. The B&B's location is perfect: only a block's walk to pubs, restaurants, and shopping. Yet, at the same time, just a short drive, or walk, out of town and you are in the mountains of Connemara, or along the beaches of County Galway. Gerry gave us some good advice regarding where to find the best traditional music sessions. On our next trip, I will plan to stay there again. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The continental breakfast had a good range of choices and staff were very helpful. The location was excellent as it was a 2 min walk to all the good restaurants and pubs. Parking outside in the street was free after 6pm to 11am - great. Clifden is a good stopover point for the Connemara circuit. We would have liked to have had several days there as the annual arts festival was in full swing. My family of four stayed with Gerry in early May for two days. He welcomed us on arrival and gave us a tour of our rooms. He was always around to answer our questions and really gave top notch customer service. The facilities were spotless the location in Clifden could not have been any more central. I would book Gannon's again without a second thought. Kudos to Gerry for running a great B and B!!!. *The welcome - we felt they were genuinely pleased to see us. *The breakfast - varied and very good quality produce. *The style of the place - contemporary with antique touches. * The location - middle of town and also very easy to get to lovely places in Connemara. *The place was spotlessly clean *Our hosts were warm, helpful and cheerful people. We had a very warm reception from Gerry. Really kind. In stead of having two rooms we received a whole appartment which we appreciated a lot. Nice and cosy, clean and decorated with good taste. As the weather was not good that day we had a nice fire prepared by Gerry. I hope to go back and stay somewhat longer. Very clean and lovely breakfast. Gerry (the owner) is very friendly and so nice! The location is great, just across from a grocery store and close to all the restaurants, pubs, and shops of Clifden (walking distance). It was great place to base from to see Kylemore Abbey and more in Connemara. Great Host, Jerry was very easy and friendly and his wife made the best scones we have ever had, anywhere, I have refused to eat a scone since we left. Great reaturants and pubs 1 block away. Loved the dining area and T V room, better than staying in one room, felt like we were home. We had a fantastic time in Gannons, the room we stayed in was spacious, bright and clean. Breakfast was lovely and all the food was very fresh. The staff were very welcoming and made us feel very at home. We would definitely stay in Gannons on any return trips to Clifden. There are loads of places to stay in Clifden but I think it would be difficult to find a nicer or more competitively priced B&B. Gannon's B&B is very comfortable, modern, clean and friendly. The facilities are excellent, with use of a lovely living room and kitchen. The location is right in the middle of Clifden town, near some lovely restaurants and shops. We were absolutely delighted by the friendliness of Jerry. The room was perfect and the breakfast outstanding. We can really recommend Jerry's B&B in Clifden and we hope to spend our holiday again in your house. Great B&B with a very convenient location directly in the middle of the city center. Went there during the arts festival to run a half marathon and will hopefully be returning when we have more time. No Kleenex available. Breakfast contained no eggs, bacon or sausages. No hot foods. exterior not charming bikes need some tuning up. Next time we will go with the ensuite instead of the room with private bathroom. Leaving :-). all was ok. Too good. Do not want to leave. Nothing. Accessibility might be a problem for some visitors.
