  We stayed in the economy studio, and upon our arrival we were welcomed with a bottle of local wine. The location of the hotel was really ideal - It was just far enough outside of the city that we could walk to the beach in less than five minutes, and walk into the city in 20-30 minutes. She always offered to make any travel - Beautiful hotel, very clean and well looked after. Lovely private swimming pool that was kept spotless and never full. Plenty of sunbeds and poolside chairs. The staff could not have been more helpful and even advised of traditional local restaurants and checked to see - The whole trip was just lovely and I wouldn't have changed a thing. My previously holiday-shy boyfriend loved everything about the holiday and especially the restaurant (Corinne Star) in the grounds of the hotel. It was the best of the restaurants we tried in both Kalamaki and Chania. The staff were very hard-working, warm and helpful. The beachside setting was beautiful, westward facing so you can enjoy the sunset while eating dinner at the poolside. Really hoping we can come back soon :)

We had a pretty big apartment on the first floor with two balconies, one on either side, which was really nice! The beach nearby is stony, but there is a sand beach not very far away. Would recommend having a rental car to get around to the best beaches etc. We stayed with our son, his wife and baby in the next apartment and it worked well. Lovely pool, and Maria's breakfasts were a daily delight. Staff all very helpful. Plenty of tavernas within walking distance or short drive into Kissamos. About 20 minutes drive to Chania.
