Very nice family-run hotel near the central square of Kastraki. We had a
double room, simple, but spacious and clean, with a view of a church. As
for its bells, mentioned in some reviews, I don't remember them
bothering me. Owners - two brothers - are very friendly and helpful. On
arrival they provide you with all necessary maps and give useful tips on
how to explore the area in a better way. Restaurant attached to the
hotel is a must-visit: home made food is extremely delicious, thanks

Two friendly brothers own the hotel and the restaurant that has been
working since 1964. Nice clean rooms, most with one double bed + 1 or
2 twin beds. One fridge is available on the ground floor. Wi-Fi works
perfectly. Wonderfull view. There is a church near the hotel and the
noise of the bells wakes you up at 7:30 A.M. But still you come to
that very place to see the monasteries and not to sleep))) The best
alarm I ever had).
The hotel is situated right in front of Meteora cliffs with a perfect view to monasteries and in the center of authentic village Kastraki. There is nice taverna in hotel where you can have romantic dinner in shade of old plane tree. Owners are very friendly and helpful. The chirch opposit the hotel brings additional ancient flavour to the place.
Guesthouse Plakias is ideally suited for a visit to the monasteries of Meteora. The rooms are clean and comfortable.
The service provided by "Mr Plakias" and his family was 1st class. The restaurant Gardenia which is attached to the hotel provided fresh good quality food and was always served to you with a smile, A must place to stay.
Situated at the base of the mountains, Plakias was a great place for our tour of the monasteries. Owner was extremely helpful at helping us get an idea of how to tackle the monasteries, provided maps and answered our questions. Bedroom was clean and quiet. Restaurant has reasonable prices!.
We have stayed here second time and advised this hotel to our friends as
the best choice. We also advise to everyone to eat in taverna that
belong to the same family - very testy cooking, not expensive.
It was my first visit in that wonderful area and I was extremely pleased about the accommodation. The owner is very friendly and is a pleasure to stay there.

Bathroom is small. Bell-ringing from the chirch nearby will definitely wake you up at 7am. Chimes are repetitive and continuous.
