  The hotel can be reached via the Zugspitzebahn, bus or taxi from the Garmisch train station. This is a lovely place, although next time we would get a room with the water view and stay longer.   We had a great view of the mountains from our room and it is very close to the major ski areas. Our room, including the bathroom, was extrememly clean. I had plenty of hot water for a nice shower after skiing. There was a nice fire in the bar/lobby area with comfy couches for relaxing. The restaurant food was absolutely delicious and cooked fresh (it was the best food that I had in Germany). There was not a single thing that we did not like about this hotel. It was excellent!
