  The size of room was a lot bigger than expected. The staff were friendly, even though they dont speak a word of English. The location of the hotel was great, right in the middle of town which is peaceful and quiet. Breakfast was great as well with a good spread of breads, juices and ham. The jolly German lady even offer boiled eggs every morning. ... 别人怎么说 » It is always a great experience to have a full breakfast, complete with crockery and a pot of hot coffee. Will definitely recommend to anyone who are - We loved the town of Gengenbach. The bed was very comfortable, the staff was very nice. The breakfast was plentiful, with a lot of variety. There are many restaurants close by. Hiking in the black forest was wonderful. There are many trails heading right out of the town, at various locations. The konus railway card was a huge deal for us. We took 4 different day trips all over the Black Forest, for free, with this card, which you get when you check in.

  The lovely young woman running the hotel spoke very good english and was very helpful and always pleasant. The location of the hotel was lovely - close to town but in the countryside. The meals at the hotel were excellent. My husband and I would love to stay at Pfeffer & Salz again. - The breakfast was lovely with an excellent choice.
