The size of room was a lot bigger than expected. The staff were friendly, even though they dont speak a word of English. The location of the hotel was great, right in the middle of town which is peaceful and quiet. Breakfast was great as well with a good spread of breads, juices and ham. The jolly German lady even offer boiled eggs every morning. It is always a great experience to have a full breakfast, complete with crockery and a pot of hot coffee. Will definitely recommend to anyone who are .
所有评语 » We loved the town of Gengenbach. The bed was very comfortable, the staff was very nice. The breakfast was plentiful, with a lot of variety. There are many restaurants close by. Hiking in the black forest was wonderful. There are many trails heading right out of the town, at various locations. The konus railway card was a huge deal for us. We took 4 different day trips all over the Black Forest, for free, with this card, which you get when you check in. A typical Black Forest hotel, with the family owners "on site". Very good breakfast buffet. Gengenbach is a very historical town, with a lovingly preserved town center. The hotel was an easy block's walk to the centrum. Owner and staff are very friendly. Owner speaks very little English and staff speaks some English, which we already expected, but registration for the Konus Card, breakfast and checkout went smoothly so that was good. It is very quiet during the night so,good for sleeping.There was a loveseat and chair in our room which were nice to have. Gengenbach is a very pretty town to stay in and nice to walk around. The staffs were really helpful. The room was clean. The beds were comfortable. There is also a fridge in the room. The breakfast was ok plus a very well cooked soft boiled egg :D. The hotel is located in very lovely village. It is very German and with German order in every aspect of business (everything in the hotel works and works perfectly). The staff were very friendly with one excellent English speaker. Breakfasts were good, homely atmosphere, Would go again. Wonderful air conditioning in 35 degree heat. Extremely comfortable beds with non European pillows was nice for a change. Staff very friendly and helpful. Location in Gengenbach very good. Lots of parking. Rooms comfortable and very clean. Great breakfast, beautiful town, good value for the money, location close to the main square and good restaurants. Excellent accomodation & location and free & secure car parking. Friendly & efficient staff. helpful family run hotel. Famous mattresses. The wifi is almost non-existent in the room, but we were alright to sit at the comfortable lobby every evening to surf the net. This would not be convenient for just a day or 2. It is not very close to the big cities. No Wi-Fi. We stayed on the top floor and weren't able to access the wifi in our room as the signal wasn't strong enough. Those of us who wanted wifi ended up camping in the hotel lobby. The owner does not speak English which makes it difficult if you don't speak German and want to ask questions. There are few restaurants that are open in the evening and all shops are closed. The only place to have clothes washed is a huge rip off! Buying new clothes would be much cheaper!. No air conditioner. Therefore it was quite warm in summer time. Bathrooms were just a little small but still had everything in them. Breakfast a little basic, but still reasonable value for money. Wifi wasn't free, but was available through a third party provider as a hotspot, at 5 Euros a day. Nothing.
