  The couple that owned the Gite were so lovely and helpful. The Gite itself is beautiful, the design of the interior is really unique and interesting.   Perhaps the prettiest hotel we stayed at in a month of travelling through France. The hostess was very welcoming, the room beautifully decorated, and the hotel is in a very old historical building right on the riverfront. I can't go too much further into the review without noting that English speaking staff were available upon late check-in (somewhat of a rarity in France).   For me it was situated ideally within five minutes walk from the abbey which is the single attraction of the small community of Jumieges.
