We have stayed at The Schell express at least once a year for the past3 yrs and my wife has stayed there many times for yrs before we were married. It is always Clean and the staff freindly and helpfull.. It is quiet and economical and close to our Assembly facility which we attend twice a year. Thankyou. Comfortable bed, clean, compact room with frig and microwave. Excellent value and a nice place to sleep. Friendly helpful staff. Room was small but adequate for our stopover stay for a family wedding. We would come again. Convenient central location for access and driving.

Really liked that it was pet friendly but the letsbookhotel.com post didn't have that info so the pup was left behind this trip, but he won't be left behind on the next one. Great value for the price. Bed was very comfortable and room very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would certainly recommend it to anyone wanting a low price place to stay. Very clean - especially the bathroom, inexpensive. Had microwave, fridge, decent internet speed, exterior ground floor entrace direct into room. We stayed one night. The motel was easy to find and the price suited my needs. price. - a bit dated (but this would fall into high end of dated) - on a busy street. My only "issue" was the tear-open Shampoo packets, no scoring on the package and when you are in the shower and wet they were almost impossible to open. Nothing bad to say about the room or motel. Chairs were uncomfortable, they are old and simply played out. TV is an small 19 inch tube TV which required going to the unit to turn on/off and adjust volume. A/C not the greatest and it blew a circuit during the night requiring it to be plugged in another outlet, but by then the room was smoking hot. Pillows were feather type and not comfortable. Paper-thin walls, no privacy (everyone in the parking lot can look into the only window unless curtains are drawn), noisy fridge right next to bed. Vernon isn't worth visiting, we just stayed the night before flying out early morning from Kelowna. Showers were tricky. Forgot to leave my coffee pkg. one day!. nada. The furnishings were extremely worn and the linens had holes. My room has an old conditioner, bit noisy,. Could hear people in next room, not a lot of privacy. nothing...no complaints at all. City Truck came and emptied dumpster bin behind our room at 6 am Tuesday morning! (Our first night). When I mentioned it to the Clerk upon checkout, he just said it was the City of Vernon who decided the time and there was nothing that could be done. I disagree. I think if you contacted the City of Vernon, that they should oblige and make the pickup time later in the day. Also, shower head is quite poor quality and miserly. After a day skiing, its nice to have a good hot shower!. The carpet was very stained and dirty looking. It is looking a bit run down and out of date. There was an unpleasant smell in the room, perhaps cleaning fluids?. needs updating. a/c did not work properly, poor cleanliness floors, linen etc. staff discourteous not pleased with ouir stay.
