Outstanding renovation of an historic downtown hotel. It is well located in downtown Kamloops, with a very nice patio restaurant and bar. Rooms small but comfortable and well appointed. Charming lobby and lovely artwork featuring local painters. Short walk to the Riverside Park. Shopping and summer Farmer's Market steps from the front door. Staff extremely helpful and welcomingl. this place was a gem in an otherwise uninspiring town. the staff were very friendly and helpful and gave us a room with a view. Although it was a fair way from the centre of town, we saw this as an advantage as it had a great outlook over the surrounding hills and there was a shopping centre nearby. The Chinese restaurant next door served a wonderful meal.

Riverland is on the river and not far off the highway in an industrial area. Next door is a cafe so that was convenient for dinner. There is a tiny breakfast room, a little pool and lots of grassy lawn with chairs and tables along the river. Definitely upgrade to a river room. Otherwise, the rooms face the parking lot and industrial area. -
