  the hotel was tucked away in poperinge near Ypres and was quite delightful. The rooms were very nice with excellent bathrooms. The 4 course set meal was delicious and good value for money.   The owners are friendly, professional, attentive, and helpful. The accommodation has been newly built in a residential area as a B&B business in the countryside and is clean, comfortable and fit for purpose. Overall the facilities are very highly highly commended. - The Aphrodite B& B was of 5 star standard with spacious rooms furnished to an exceptionally high standard. The host Heidi & Dirk were superb and most welcoming. The breakfasts were wonderful and would keep us going for the day. We would definitely stay there again. Ideally located for Ieper and the battlefields of the First World War. Dirk is a first class guide to the area.

  Only staying one night makes it difficult to comment on the staff as we only had contact with the reception staff. They were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The hotel looked so beautiful for Christmas. Beautiful flower arrangements, the largest indoor Christmas trees I have ever seen and beautifully decorated. The beds were large and very comfortab - Polite and very good mannered staff from check in to bar service. Couldn't fault them on customer service. Also good proximity of hotel to town centre, 5km: we drove to hotel, checked in, left car there and took taxi to town. Cost €20, a special deal the hotel has with a local taxi firm. Would have cost more to stay in a hotel in the town centre where parking is also quite expensive. All in all, it was a choice we made not just for the money saving side of it but mainly because we had come to

  We stayed at the Hotel Donny at the beginning and end of our four weeks holiday in Europe. With car travelling time to Calais of just over one hour, it is a pleasant hotel in which to stay overnight. - very spacious room. very friendly staff.nice relaxing hotel close to town centre but peaceful and secure car parking a big plus.
