Cement block construction so old but kept super clean and very quiet. Room large enough for three adults with room to spare. Great pricing! The quiet was impressive considering the construction across the road. Excellent location - right on river boardwalk - quick walk to Canelands Shopping Centre & new dining precinct near old wharves. Very close to the CBD and short walking distance to main Shopping Centre. Close to Swimming Lagoon. As we were in Mackay due to sporting commitments, visit wasn't strictly leisure.

Staff were very pleasant and friendly..really helpful with directions and things to do as it was our first ever visit to Mackay. Location was perfect. Easy to walk into town where you can eat and shop. Good for business stay. Overlooks the river. Good location on Blue Trail walk a few minutes from the Blue Lagoon and also walking distance from restaurants. Friendly owners made us aware of all that was possible. Very positive people and interested and friendly. The staff were amazing and couldn't have been more helpfull! Would definitely stay here again. Quiet location and welcome by person in reception. Immediate attention to any request. Wifi worked well! Rooms were clean and quiet. Liked having a large mini fridge. Loved the proximity to Caneland, the City and the Waterfun Park. Helpful friendly staff Comfortable accommodation. Close to City. Good position, only stayed one night. Staff very helpful. Handy to town. some rooms have a view of the river. Rooms are clean and have nice coffee tea and biscuits. It is within easy walk of large shopping centre and lots of restaurants. right next to lovely mangrove walk around the river in a few directions. not far from beautiful national parks with great water falls and gorges. Staff very friendly & helpful Room clean. Location, lived up to expectations. The staff greeted me beautifully and made me feel very welcome. Bathroom had no extractor which meant it got very hot. Travelling with two men also meant it got smelly! Small window did not let enough airflow in to cool down/reduce smell :) Small thing. Parking a hassle for larger vehicles, best suited for small to medium cars. Thought there could be more cutlery provided for those having takeaways. Needs some décor/refurbishment. Lighting was a bit dull, had to switch on every light to have a Skype conversation. Minor issues really. Nothing bad. Nothing. Wish there was a way to hang a "do not disturb" sign on the door. There was no way to let housekeeping know we didn't need our room cleaned without telling them verbally. Aircon was timed to come back on in the middle of the night. Room on first floor elderly ladies having to carry cases up stairs. Bit expensive for what it was compared to other motels. No view. Carrying suitcases up stairs. a bit dated. Parking at rear very tight. Compared to other cities it is poor value for money- price is $70-55 dearer than compariative motels in Rockhampton & Brisbane (but that's Mackay for you). Room/premises a bit run down/outdated. It was all fine. No microwave. The carpet was a disgrace. after walking around in the morning (barefoot) I got in the shower and the water turned brown beneath my feet as the dirt was washed off the bottom of my feet. The bed was way too soft and had lumps in it.
