  Excellent service. Had to drop our bags to get to a function and when we returned late that evening we were all checked in, keys ready and bags in our room.   Location is close to city centre and Lake Burley Griffin. If the weather is fine, it's only a short walk to city centre whilst the Lake is just across the main road with crossing via a walkway. Beautifully appointed room and bathroom. Fantastic location, with excellent dining options in the hotel and nearby (and artisan bakery is next door).

  Reception staff - very friendly at each encounter. I was welcomed with unsolicited suggestions and free maps - very nice touch you would normally only see in a small country town. I am not that fussy but . . . I find dry irons in hotel rooms very frustratingly ineffective and a statement of mistrust. Breakfast buffet was very, very reasonably priced - didn't feel any urge to over-eat just to get my mone - My wife fell and broke her arm 3 hours after we arrived; I was diagnosed with DVT 3 days later. We had to extend our stay by 3 days as doctopr would not allow me to drive home. Staff was very helpful indeed in finding another room for us for 3 days even though the hotel was heavily booked. Could not speak more highly of the staff. Also good to be able to have dinner brought to our room.
