  I loved my stay at the northern greenhouse. I was warmly greeted in reception when i arrived. I stayed in a clean, spacious 6 bed dorm with a kitchenette, fridge and ensuite. The outdoor seating area was friendly and relaxed without a party atmosphere which is exactly what I was looking for. The manager, Rosemary, was very helpful. We arrived a number of hours before we were supposed to check in and our room was already ready for us. The manager helped us book our tours and even drove us to the wharf on the day, so we wouldn't be late and this was greatly appreciated.

Considering Cairns's standards, this hostel raises up quite a bit! Friendly but still quiet, and just a 10 minutes stroll to downtown. Great! - I stayed here for one week, the staff are really helpful and friendly, when I arrival cairns, they pick me up from bus station immediately. the kitchen is amazing, you can get any stuff you want. the room is very clean and tidy, the bed and pillow is very soft. I stay here like staying at home. it's the best backpacker I have been to.

  Great place. If you're looking for somewhere to party & have a laugh then this is the place. Stayed in a four bed room with an ensuite shower & toilet which were cleaned everyday.
