The price mainly. I paid $80 for an ocean front room with balcony with a great view and this was in the first week of June. Value was excellent and had a outdoor pool on the ocean side with a bar and live music. Although bar was not owned by hotel proximity was great and there was a bodega directly across the street that had any needs. Room also had fridge and microwave. I loved the fact the hotel was right on the beach and the restaurant/bar attached to the hotel was great. Pricey but great. The hotel wasnt luxurious but for the price it was well worth it, I was comfortable, and I could see the beach from my room. This hotel will be my first choice whenever I come back.
alla recensioner » I appreciated that it accepted our very late ( 2am ) checking. The staff was friendly. The location of the hotel is optimal, right off the beach and just blocks off many attractions and restaurants. I will definitely be looking at this hotel for future stays. Check out was easy. I booked before looking at the reviews. Most review were not fair. This place was not bad for the money. The staff was actually very friendly. Would stay again. Great Location. Nice Grille and Bar on-site. Staff was very nice. The house keeping young woman on our floor (8) was very nice, and very helpful. Pool and bar are also making some good renovations. I like the cost of the room & that it was oceanfront. The room was good for the short time we were there. It served the purpose for our trip. Was good for me and my kids, view was amazing and its just a place to sleep on vacation. Room was decent and I feel I got my moneys worth.... It was a nice room for what we paid with basically everything in it we could ask for! Plus it was right on the beach!. Staff was great, great location, clean, enjoyed my ocean front room and would stay again and hope to soon. Loved that it was ocean front with restaurant over looking the beach and the staff was very friendly. That the rooms are ocean front and also able to see the main strip as well. Its right on the beach, is right in the middle of everything. Easy beach access the staff was very helpful and friendly. Oceanfront room, was upgraded. room size was spacious. we had a great time,everyone was polite,very helpful. The view was great, and the bar was a nice touch. The hotel is near the center of the board walk and right on the beach. Location perfect, friendly staff, a Beach hotel for sure and at a fair price. The view and proximity of the beach was great. The other guests were quiet. the staff at the hotel and the restaurant were great and the food was good. convience....on the beach....near shopping....close to convention center. The pool was cold but my 7 year old still went in but way to cold for me. I wish they had a breakfast area. Building very Old and could use some improvements. Pool a little dirty. However, staff attended to dirty pool when reported to front desk. Hotel is under renovation, however they seem to be making a lot of improvements. Rooms are being fixed up pretty nice and I am sure when all is done it will be an even nicer hotel. Be careful if you want a quiet place because it is a college hangout on the weekends. Nothing wrong with college kids having fun, however it may get a bit noisy at times. Had a smell in hallway and take dollar bills cause they never have change for the vending machines. It was a very short stay so we dont have anything to complain about. Parking was a bit of a pain. had to park myself if I want to avoid the expense of the parking attendant tips to get and park my car. Due to work I was in and out a lot. That the balcony door had been busted and the lock didn't lock or close correctly. Need fluffier pillows. Rooms are dated, an space is wasted in rooms. Our room was big but the floorplan waste a lot of space. The bigger rooms should have a separate bedroom. I look for rooms that have a bedroom, at a descent price. Not really happy about no coffee pot in the room - nor parking offsight but it all worked out okay. No Wi-fi. the pillows were very flat,I would like to see hotels in VB to keep prices lower,everyevent prices go up. No indoor pool. We had booked a king size but didn't receive it. We were put in a double bed room instead. I didn't like anything. I will never stay there. Rooms could stand some updating Overall cleanliness could be improved. Bathroom shower was broken. One of the elevators was broken so it occasionally it would take a while to get up and down. NA All was well!. Pool Should be cleaned 2 times a day. Replacing rugs on first floor. Parking. staff was not that friendly. I didn't like that they gave us a hard time when we tried to check in a bit early because it was pouring when we arrived and many hotels allow their guests to check in early. It was inconsiderate. Parking, Unrulely guest. Hot in the hall ways. Internet service was the pits. Had it for one day only.They couldn't keep it up. Jets flying over the hotel and all hours of the day and night. The furniture was old and showing wear and needs to be replace. Housekeeping put fresh towels in the bathroom, but did not make the bed or clean the room. No Parking on site, one block away. First room was not cleaned, second was fine. Our room looked to be recently painted because they still had tape on the door handles. The bed was hard as a rock. The Navy jets flying over the room till midnight was noisy. Most of the lamps in the room didn't work. There was no chair for the desk. The "on site parking" was over a block away. the pillows were flat, the bed sagged, the heat would not stay consistant..definitely need some upgrades. staff at front counter...not very friendly...elevators are not cart nor stroller friendly... But some things definitely needed to still be upgraded. Well the rooms are alright but they could update the furniture in the rooms. Maintenance of the facility was sub-standard. In the bathroom, the walls were textured, there had been a repair, but they just slapped some drywall paste on it. Very dated decor. Didn't like being on the 8th floor , to high ,but don't like the bottom floor. When we checked in to hotel, nothing worked in the room so we asked to move which they allowed us too. We paid extra to stay in a suite which was better but when my son went to take a shower, the water was dark brown. We ran the water for a half hour before it was clear. When I went to the front desk, the man there was rude and said that they "might have" changed the filter and we may see that in the water. I know when we come back next year, that is not a hotel I will be staying in. facilities are in need of major update. bathroom had several wall patch jobs -poorly done. There were several items through out the hotel that were broke and needed fixing. On of those was the railing at the steps of the pool. It was put together with duck tape. The lock did not work on the sliding door to the balcony of our room. the bed was sagging need new ones Ice machine looked broken one plastic chair broken on balcony Parking around the corner from hotel. I didn't like the fact that I booked online at letsbookhotel.com and when I got to the hotel I was told a different price than what I booked. That should have been addressed before my arrival. And didnt like the fact on that the website it didn't disclose that you had to pay 10 $ a night for a crib. The staff was very unorganized, mold, and nosey bar in the hotel. The room was dirty. Off site parking and the bed was the worst we have ever slept on or should I say didn't get any sleep on. Dacor was very outdated. no breakfast offerings.
