  Lovely grounds, lushly planted, with well-maintained, uncrowded pool and plenty of chaises. Enjoyed hot tub, too. Good restaurant on premises so eating outside was enjoyable. Staff in hotel - We appreciated the reasonable rate for the value of the accommodations. The location is good. The restaurant had great food, atmosphere and service. The reservations clerks and front desk people were very friendly and helpful. All the employees we encountered were professional and friendly. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and well-appointed. It was nice to have free WiFi, although our room was apparently the farthest from the signal.   I thought I had booked a room at the "other" Day's Inn on Castillo st and when I looked closer at my reservation it was a State st. The front desk (Sabrina) said they heard this before and I called the "other" Inn and they were not accomodating at all. I would like to commend all at this hotel and I will return. Bruce - loved the location, hotel was nice, the lobby was re-done and well staffed. Very quiet hotel and quite comfortable. Loved the hotel and our stay besides the fact that we were in a room that looked nothing like the pictures. I would recommend this hotel just be warned you might not get what you see!

  I travel a lot for business and normally dont write these reviews. But the place was just great value for money and you could feel the the runing management cared about their place and customers. I arrived at 11pm and the parking lot was filled with cars. The hotel room itself is not fancy, but the quality is very - I was in Santa Barbara w/ my two teenage daughters for a few days. The room and bathroom were very clean. The room was larger than most for the money.and had a microwave and fridge. Susan, at the front desk was very warm and knowledgeable about things to do and places to eat. We would stay at The Agave again.

  We have had an elongated stay of about 2 months. We have had a birds eye view of the staff and premise. The staff is efficient and warm but respectful. Even though we have been here a long time not one of them has displayed disrespect lack of caring about their job. They still call us MR and MRS.   I originally booked the West Beach Inn, but I read so many good reviews about the Harbor House Inn that I cancelled my original reservation at West Beach Inn and booked Harbor House.
