The location was perfect. The motel is 1/2 of a block from the beach. It is the quiet end of Cabrillo. The desk clerks were extremely helpful and supplied us with extra pillows and towels. This is not a fancy hotel, but it was perfect for our needs- clean, great location, good service, budget friendly, easy parking.
Great location - 10min bus into the main street and pier. All staff very friendly and did everything to accommodate for us - family run motel which was really nice to see. The swimming pool was very clean and plenty of room to swim. Great value for money, I would definitely recommend this to my friends!. alla recensioner »
The price was right considering we were just stopping through SB for the night. Being 1 block back from the beach is nice, and they had a swimming pool and free off-street parking. There is a great bagel shop just around the corner also.
The staff were really friendly and helpfull, the location was excelant for the beach and you could easily walk Downtown to all the shops, bars and restaurants.
It was good value for money. The location is perfect. Quiet end of Town, excellent beach and beach cafe. Great provisions shop nearby.
Close to the beach and shopping,it is a smaller hotel w/pool
.Quiet.It wasn't too hot even in July.an air cooler was provided.
We liked that is was close to the Main Street and the beach. 2 min drive
to wharf and state street. Room was clean and cozy.
Our room had a view of the Pacific and was well tended to. Nice relaxed feel about the place.
Fantastic location, large rooms, loved the hard floors (no carpets, yay!!!).
Good location for Santa Barbara, just off the beach. Clean and good value.
It was a block from the ocean. Room was clean. Pool was clean.
Loved the location (walk to the beach) and the price.
The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable.
Clean and comfortable, Great location for beach.
Great room with balcony, cleanness, very quiet.
location, cleanliness, size of room.
Location and price.
location was great.
location and clean.
Comfortable, quiet.
Large Room.
The location was perfect, just steps away from the beach. The waterfront
shuttle was also a few blocks away. Great option if you're in town
for a wedding and you don't want to spend a lot on your hotel, but
you want to be close to the beach and other hotels in the area. No one
was ever in the pool so we had it all to ourselves!.
Proximity to the beach and within biking distance to everything from
east end of beach to the west end. And ability to see beach from hotel
plus was allowed to keep our bikes in the room. They even allowed us to
store two beautiful 7ft. Juniper bushes in pots on the property that we
got at an estate sale until we left home.
Book this hotel for location to East beach- only block away. Room was clean. Small but with amenities of wifi, small fridge, tv with cable, and microwave. Very reasonable rates for SB. Walking distance to zoo and sanctuary. Pool was covered at night and maintained.
Stayed here because it was cheaper than many others. Location not too
bad if you are happy to walk for a bit to main street which is
wonderful. Very close to beach although weather was not that great so
beach was not a major attraction.
Budget-friendly motel, really close to the beach. There's no breakfast included, but there's a great grocery store nearby (Tri County Produce, look it up), get some fresh stuff and eat it on the beach! :).
Great location. Walking distance from the East Beach and from the Zoo. Also, you can walk to the Pier, it's about 1 mile or so. Normal room size, good pool. They gave us more towels when we asked for.
Location, second room with view, pool heated. Staff very helpful in
sorting out second room after room 101 disaster.
Very close to the sea, covered parking, big room and cheap compared to all other motels in Santa Barbara.
The hotel is located one block from East Beach, for the price, you can't beat that.
Location was nice, and takes 1 minute to go to the beach!.
It was fairly quiet, very close to the beach, and clean.
location, nice staff, coffee available in the morning.
I could afford it It was close to the beach.
I loved the close proximity to the beach.
OK for 1-night stay, close to the beach.
close to beach and inexpensive.
Older hotel, good location.
price.close to beach.
close to the beach.
Location was fairly near the beach. Dude at the desk was friendly.
It was very close to everything.. Shops, food, night clubs, ect..
convenient location close to beach.
I like the location and the pool.
Location was nice.
Location in relationship to seafront.
The bed was alright.
Good location.
Nothing.
My blowdryer kept tripping the outlet and the blowdryer supplied was kind of puny. Not a deal breaker for a weekend trip, though.
We had the first room right next to reception on the ground floor which was noisy. Our bathroom window opened directly onto the pavement where people were checking in.
There was no aircon in the room, be we traveled in April so this didn't matter to us. It may get a little hot in the summer months.
Nothing.
Bit of a walk to central area but that can be skipped using the shuttle bus service or bike hire.
It's not really a backpacking destination as it is a bit of a pricey area - all good if you have the cash.
Shower/bathroom was a bit small, rooms do not have an AC?, and no breakfast unfortunately, but there's plenty of possibilities nearby.
Beds were too hard.
The bed wasn't super comfortable, but worth the price compared to nearby hotels.
The lock on the door didn't seem very secure - made me a bit nervous.
Coffee in very short supply ! just one bag a day.
No breakfast.
no coffee machine in the room.
no air conditioning.
towels too thin.
We were on the first floor and we couldn't really have the curtains
open, it was like being a fishbowl! Pool hours are way too short open
from 9am-7pm.
A little too close to commercial buildings where homeless people
frequented at night , also Amtrak train travels within 1/4 mile of
hotel . so you will hear train whistles.
Bathroom is literally 2 ft from bed. No insulation from sounds. Not for children although zoo is walking distance. No do not disturb signs either.
Need car to get to state street paseos.
Very basic room. Had to go downstairs to get coffee and wait till they
opened at 8am. I prefer to have coffee or tea ealier and before I get up
and shower, but not a major issue.
The inn was a bit far from the old city center, that missed most of the vibe I expected, though that must have been because we were there on a Monday...
I paid $370 (with taxes) for two nights. I think it's a little too much for a Motel.. However, it's Santa Barbara and it was Summer time. I guess the city itself is pricy!.
Room 101! Noisy pipes that woke us up, hot room, worn out décor, shower
taps not working properly.
Still expensive for being only a motel, no breakfast, small bathroom and noisy neighbours although that's not the motel's fault of course. TV a bit small for its distance from the bed.
The room was next to the laundry room so heard washers/dryers and had a super hard bed.
The room wasn't the best, but it was ok.
Looks and feels like a regular old motel. It has a very retro 60s-style decor, which in itself is fine, though I had the distinct impression it hadn't actually hadn't been updated since the 60s. No food available (even to purchase) on site, and ice costs 25 cents (?). I definitely feel like I paid too much, but it was 4th of July weekend and almost everywhere was sold out...
Rooms were not nearly as nice as the pictures appeared. Location and layout of hotel is quaint. Needs major updating.
Dorm like rooms.
I didn't realize before I booked my stay that the room only had a room air conditioner, which could hardly keep up with the heat during Labor Day weekend.
Noise in the room - overheard what happened in next room. Old furniture, far from city center.
a little outdated and thin walls.
Beds were harder than cement, they sucked!.
paper thin walls, small t.v.,heater didnt work, drafty door and windows.
small TV.
Looks OK in the aerial view on its booking page, but up close it's a run-down motel. Unlike the nice large suites opening onto the pool shown, the one we got was a small, dark, cramped upstairs room overlooking the back parking lot and the dumpster, with broken-down, cut-rate, dirty furnishings. It would have been OK if it had been cheap, but for $180 a night? Ouch.
It cost to much for the kind of room we got... Room is out dated.
the mattress's are really uncomfortable and hard as well as the place is noisy with other inconsiderate guests and I had to get an upgrade to my room because the lights didn't work properly in the 1st room I got.
The entire property feels dated and tired. Bathroom had grime and a cheap shower head.
Shower.
Poor quality. Run down. Very expensive. No facilities. Bad room layout. Very thin walls.
The whole room smelled like chlorine and we couldnt get it out.
The walls looked quite dirty.
The tv reception or cable reception was not clear.
The bathroom also looks a bit like in prison.
The ice cube machine was close the room and really noisy.
The ac was also way too loud in the room.
Not clean selms was horrible internet did not work....answer was....some
time does not work with some devices......real answer should be signal
is poor and do not reach all rooms. I would not recommend.
Dump, bed was so uncomfortable, hard as a rock, tiny room, floor squeaked, some floor boards moved when you stepped on them, glad we didn't have to use furnace cause it was dirty and looked unsafe!! Only one extra pillow.
